The Cottage Collection Paternoster

Cottage is very pretty, with all the contents to make a comfortable stay.

The cottage was advertised as having a bedroom and a sleeper couch. We are two people, not sleeping together. I requested that the sleeper couch be made up, and was told that this would cost an extra R500 per night. If the use of the couch is extra, then it should be made very clear. This would be the equivalent of saying, there are two bedrooms, but you pay extra if you use the second bedroom! Or like saying, there is a coffee machine, but you pay extra if you use it! False advertising and smacks of pettiness.

Everything was incredibly comfortable, lovely touches and we had everything we needed.

Despite confirming via message, there were no braai (bbq) tongs available (we raised this upon checkout), and although sufficient towels, they were all standard size - at least 1 bath sheet per room would go a long way for the larger / taller guests please.

Das Häuschen war zuckersüß. Tolle Betten, eine vollausgestattete Küche ein grosses Bad mit einer Aussendusche. Das Auto hatte sogar ein eigenes Carport.

Dies war nicht das erste Mal sondern wahrscheinlich das 6. oder 7. Mal, daß wir zu La Baleine Unterkünften sind allerdings das erste Mal in diesem Cottage. Die Betten waren gut und die Auswahl der Kissen super.

Wir hatten wenig Privatsphäre auf der Terrasse und wurden von einem Rudel von Strassenhunden "besucht", wir konnten nicht gemütlich eine Tasse Kaffee draußen trinken. Der eine Schrank im Schlafzimmer war kaputt und die Haustüre von der Feuchtigkeit am Meer verzogen und ließ sich nur schwer abschließen.

Some maintenance needed on the entrance gate as the lock is broken and cannot be secured.

We had a great stay at this amazing property. The property is walking distance to the beach, as well as many restaurants. The amenities at the property are excellent, including the braai, pool, kitchen etc. The host was also helpful and frienfly.

High standard of accommodation, stylish and tasteful decor. Walking distance to the beach. The property felt safe and secure. Loved the outdoor pool and day bed. Walking distance to Leeto restaurant which we would highly recommend.

Could have benefitted from air conditioning especially in the bedroom but the staff were able to provide fans. A couple of sunloungers would be good for be outside area.
