The fireplace and overall look of place is nice.

Cleanliness of place is not 100%. We're only told about solar after our payment was deducted for our stay. Solar in house CAN NOT accommodate the geysers. If you need hot water for a bath it will have to be boiled on the stove. Geysers take all the battery power in the day then you have no electricity or limited electricity at night and still no hot water day or night. Stayed for 3 nights, 1st morning no electricity no warm water, 2nd day we had to leave geyser off in order to have electricity the whole night. Had to boil water on stove for dishes as well. Parking space is limited to 2 vehicles. If you are 6 people with 3 vehicles one will have to be parked outside on the grass. What a disappointment for my 50th birthday celebrations.

Neat and clean

After booking I did not receive any information regarding check-in etc. On our way to Dullstroom I enquired about the check-in process. I was then told that they are having issues with the electricity / solar system and that we might be without power early morning. I phoned and asked about this and was told that we should have electricity for most of the night (i had food that needed a fridge / freezer) and that we would have hot water. This was not the case - water was ice cold and power went off at midnight. I did receive a 50% discount but that doesn’t make up for the bad experience and communication. Will never book here again.

It is within close range of the amenities

That the house is 100% dependant on solar and it was a very cloudy and raining weekend,so we had blackout,but thanks for providing extra accommodation (which had electricity) at no extra cost. The entrance at the gate is quite steep😭
