Fly Shack

The cabin is well equipped and clean unit. The location is just of the main centre of town.

Cabin is very old and needs some TLC. Value for money, you get what you pay for. Don't expect a 4 or 5 star rating.

The accomodation was perfect for a group of friends or family and is completely pet friendly. It easily sleeps 6 people (two rooms with queen beds and 1 room with two single beds) so we all were very comfortable. There were extra mattresses and bedding to increase it to maybe 10 people. The kitchen was fully equipped. Besides all the cooking stuff, there was also a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There was a enough spices and oils if you forgot something. There is no WiFi, so we played some of the board games that was available...something you don't really do in this day and age. The yard space was huge and our doggies were so excited to explore everything. There is a 100 m gravel road to traverse but it's graded so any car can drive it. The beds were very comfy, as all the reviews attest to. The outside seating was very relaxing. It had a braai stand and boma. Overall, for the price and amount of people that is able to stay here, it was truly a bargain. We did not meet the host but she was very communicative nonetheless.

Everything and more than we expected

Fly Shack is situated in a great location just a heartbeat away from lovely restaurants and quaint little shops. We have great memories of our stay at Fly Shack. The place was clean, comfortable beds, and has everything you need. Spent early crisp mornings sitting on the veranda watching the sunrise just beyond the trees and mountain in such a peaceful environment. It is pet-friendly, with a massive yard for your dogs to explore and run around, our 3 fur-babies were totally exhausted by the end of the day.

Location - very close to the Parkrun. Kitchen was fully equipped and plenty of crockery & cutlery. Fireplace with wood provided, but we did not make use of it. Perhaps next time when it is winter.

Some of the games did not have any balls i.e. table tennis. Badminton rackets, but no badminton plum. No WiFi, would have been a nice to have for the kids.

The house was comfortable and just what we needed for the weekend. Thank you. Our stay was wonderful. We liked the fireplace and warm linen THANK YOU!!! The house was value for money. We will definitely visit this place again

Fenced garden good for dog and children play

The location for this house is great. On the edge of town with very little traffic. The house has almost anything you would need for a great weekend. You just have to bring yourself and your guests.

The train can be heard when passing, but we found this was not bad at all.
