"Cosy and comfortable, a lovely space to spend time with family ."

10.0

A beautiful, old characterful farm house. Large rooms with plenty of social and living space. Spotlessly clean and a well stocked kitchen. Two smart tvs, useful with bad weather days. Lovely walks, a heated pool and farm animals too! All in all pretty perfect!

Honestly nothing!

"Wow! An amazing property"

10.0

Wow! What an amazing place cannot fault it. We were 5 adults and 4 children aged 5-10. We were celebrating my 60th Birthday and stayed for 3 nights. The location is amazing and the farm itself is a combination of 7 cottages and 2 Yurts, with indoor swimming pool, games room, outdoor play park, animals and an amazing woodland walk. All of this makes for a very family friendly atmosphere. Although each cottage was occupied it was still very quiet and a lovely atmosphere. The grounds were beautifully kept and there were flowers blooming everywhere. We stayed in the biggest accommodation, the Manor House. A fabulous 400 year old 6 bedroom property full of intrinsical rooms on different levels. The overall cleanliness of the property is excellent. It had a gorgeous 4 oven aga, as well as a range cooker in the sun room. 3 luxury bathrooms each one uniquely different. A downstairs toilet in the large utility room, which was really useful with young children. Everything you could wish for or want was included. There are two fridges, 3 sitting rooms, A lovely dining room and so much more. The hosts of these cottages Andy and Ruth are wonderful people who made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and on Sunday morning the children got to feed the wonderful animals that live on the farm. Horses, rabbits, goats, sheep, alpacas, pigs, a chicken amongst them. There were even spare wellies for people who needed them. We even donated a pair we had which were too small for our grandkids. There was so much to do that we were able to enjoy quality family time without the use if electronic devices, although there is free WiFi. We only watched TV once on the last night for a movie. There were plenty of games and puzzles in a cupboard in the house and plenty of other activities in the separate games room etc that the kids did not have time to think about their devices.

There was nothing to dislike

"We loved it. I would absolutely recommend staying to anyone."

9.0

The facilities were excellent with a heated pool, outdoor play area and a games room which had a small soft play and more. A little something for everyone and lots to entertain a toddler. The hosts were very friendly and checked in regularly to make sure everything was OK. Allowing guests to join in their own daily activities when feeding and meeting the animals on the property (including rabbits, horses, goats, sheep and more). A very pleasant addition to our holiday. The house itself was extremely quirky and welcoming, large enough to accommodate our large party of 10 without us feeling like we were on top of each other. Cozy fire place that adds to the comfort and original features of the house. The massive old school Aga oven got my Chef brother's attention and he really enjoyed getting to experience using one. The local area was beautiful. The views are breath taking with rolling hills and nature everywhere. Great walks for the family and dogs. The location is close by to the beach for a day out, meaning sand, splashing and ice creams. Amazing tea rooms near by with honestly the most delicious cream teas.

Nothing not to like really. All the steps/stairs are a little hard work if you're not completely physically capable, but that can't really be helped in such an old building (over 400 years old!) I would maybe suggest some grab rails on some of the shorter but still steep steps upstairs.

"Superb stay"

10.0

The space we had, so great for 6 adults and 5 under 4 year olds. A great place for a family get together. The great facilities, soft play area, swimming pool, oh the pleasure of a washing machine and tumble dryer....bliss.

Only the travelling distance to get to The Manor from our home. 😂 So really no negatives to report.

"Christmas in The Manor"

10.0

We loved every part of our stay. It was a truly beautiful setting to spend our Christmas. The house was amazing. The swimming pool was brilliant and fun and the views and scenery around us were perfect. We would highly recommend the manor to everyone who is interested and would definitely be interested in returning in the future.

The only slight downside was that the sofa in the main living room was a little uncomfortable and a couple of beds but I feel that is to be expected with it being a pet friendly house.

"Exceptional"

10.0

Absolutely stunning property with lots of history behind it. Perfect for the 10+ of us staying with a great choice of bedrooms, three bathrooms and multiple living rooms! Kitchen big enough to cook for all the family with all the necessary utensils and cookery and a stunning dining room to accommodate us all sitting together. Main living room consisted of a wood fire which was so cosy and picturesque in the height of winter! Large indoor heated swimming pool located a 30 second walk away from the property and a games room which we all enjoyed over the course of the weekend - especially with the weather being so awful. The property is surrounded by stunning scenery with fields for the pooches to enjoy mooches. Hosts Andy and Ruth were so welcoming and couldn't do enough to accommodate and settled us in. We will absolutely be returning in the future, a perfect get away for us all.

Absolutely nothing, we loved everything! We would have liked some more history on the house - our older members of the group found the 400 year old property fascinating!
