Sea View Cottage, 2 bedrooms with stunning views

Excellent location.

Pillows were much too soft for me, maybe provide a couple of harder pillows to accomodate for all tastes.

We liked the kitchen that we got to cook our meals in, had appropriate utensils and things. The location was perfect if you don't have trouble walking. It was close to a small convenient store for food/groceries. It was close to everything in town. My mom had a hard time with the extreme incline of the hills to get to the location of this cottage, but I loved it. Great exercise. You could see the sea but only from the top floor bedroom window, and only over the roofs of the buildings in front.

We arrived after dark so it was very difficult to find the cottage, even for locals who were helping us. The street was not well-lit and we could not see the street sign that was on the wall. If we were told to look for a "BLUE" cottage we probably would have found it sooner. It took a while to figure out how to use the washer/dryer combo which the dryer did not work so we had to hang out our clothes on the provided clothes rack. US residents not use to hanging their clothes out to dry. : ) My 75 year old mother slept downstairs due to the bedrooms being upstairs. The couch was so small and not comfortable for her.

To be honest, it was a wonderful stay for us. The small cottage with all necessary facilities and especially the host is so nice and kind. Also, the location is amazing and which is close to the Cobh cathedral. Moreover, not so far from cork town and near to Fota wildlife Park.

It would be an additional bonus if you can provide a small dishwasher.

they were in lock box outside, heard from no one and met no one during our stay, Asked for second key - this was declined. We did not call host not were we offered a refund as stated...they are mixing me up with someone else..we did not make any cotact other than ask for second from cleaner va whatsapp message which was declined.

The location was good - high incline as is most of Cobh - the cottage would need a thorough deep clean of presses, drawers, corckery, and a good dusting down throughout, i was amazed at the dust on selves, pictures, etc, All presses were full of stuff - stored away. Did not use drawers in bedrooms, there was a receipt from October 2023 in the top drawer in main bedroom, not cleaned out for a while......The main concern we had was the noise from a cottage 2 doors down who run an extension lead from the house to an outside refrigerated white van - this was on constantly running while we were there, and it was impossible to sleep of leave window open. I have pictures - made enquirers and was told that is was there all the time, and any efforts to stop or remove the noise was impossible, I was asked to report it in my review, this would put alot of people off staying.
