Bosvean Cottage

Lovely self contained, self catering cottage just a few miles from Bude town & beaches. We stayed for 5 nights & had a wonderfully relaxing & peaceful time. Ideal location for our day trips & coastal walks. Had use of the summer house too where we could just chill & take in the views & the peacefulness of the area. Clean & tidy property with a comfy double bed. Good parking area next to the cottage. Excellent value for money. Appreciated the tasty fresh eggs provided to us by the friendly hosts. Would recommend & happily stay here again.

Internet was as stated, basic, & intermittant. An ethernet cable would be handy. Shower hot water was also occationally intermittant. Driveway/road up to the property is a bit rough, but its council responsibility to maintain, & like any rough road surface, it just takes a bit of care to traverse. Could do with some new frying pans as current ones are well used & no longer non stick.

The hosts are lovely and we appreciated the fresh eggs, milk and fresh cut flowers. 10 minutes drive from major supermarkets (Lidl and Morrisons) and Bude town centre / main Summerleaze beach.

Not suitable for dog owners as nowhere to let run due to livestock all around. Long, steep and muddy narrow single farm track entrance, not made up and with many deep potholes. We were worried each time we used the track that another vehicle would be coming the other way. Reversing would have been a very difficult manoeuvre. Didn't suit our Audi A5 at all. It was February but we found the property cold even with the radiators on. The bathroom floor was always damp and with an odour. TV options very limited with no Freeview channels we could find.

Cottage was lovely and and so we're the owners. It's in a perfect location in Bude which is a lovely seaside town. Would definitely recommend.
