Two bed Cottage in Cobh

Beds were comfy. Location was great.

There was a strong musty smell and the overall cleanliness was very poor( mould, cobwebs,dust) all these issues I was willing to over look as it is an old building however the electrics are a serious issue. I received an electric shock from the screws attaching the light switches to the walls. I'm glad it was me and not my children. With all these issues, I would not recommend staying here, I'm so glad we were only staying for 2 nights. Had it been for any longer I definitely would not have stayed there.

A comfy little cottage with everything needed. WIFI was excellent. Very quiet with good parking and close to good food shops.

Only a small point but the shower could have done with some fresh grout!

Cosy and great location , everything within driving distance shops attractions etc. Perfect for fota Island Wildlife. Really enjoy our stay.

Unfortunately, there are no teaspoons. The dryer didn't work and a smell of damp when we first arrived.

DAMP, left with sore throats and coughs. Smell is desperate. Carpets need changed and cottage could do with being aired. Cobwebs everywhere. Mould visible on walls, ceilings, blinds etc. Dishes were dirty in the press. Had to wash them prior to use.

Horrendous property not suitable to be slept in, never mind charge guests to stay in. Covered in mould, damp and dust. Myself and my partner have had sore throats and chesty coughs since. There was no hot water, meaning I had to boil the kettle to wash my baby's bowls and cutlery, which the host assures us is not common. Thankfully I brought premade meals I had to just reheat in the microwave for her as there is no way I would prepare a meal in this dive. I booked the property in a rush and did not read through reviews as the accommodation appeared satisfactory by the photos. How wrong I was! I wish I had read reviews. A trend of "the host assures me he will look into the issue" seems to be present. The host also said he would look into the feedback I gave him regarding damp beds, carpets and mould on blinds. However, these issues have been mentioned numerous times it appears. He clearly does not care about basic hygiene standards or morals when renting a property. I do not recommend anyone stay here!

Everything was there and the washing machine and dryer were particularly useful to us as we are travelling by bicycle for many weeks.

Seamus has taken previous feedback on board and several items other people reported missing were there when we stayed. Hot water in the evening is useful as well as hot water in the morning.
