Lifeboat Cottage

Keys were in a lock box so ideal for when you arrive.

Great Location 1 min from the beach and a wonderful breakfast café. The centre of Deal is a 15/20 min walk away but it’s a really nice walk along the sea. We were three people + dog and although the cottage is small it work well for us. Really nice were the pastries and the milk waiting in the fridge for us when we arrived. Our bed in the bigger room was super comfy and you even have a partial sea view, which was a real treat in the mornings. If we ever come back to Deal, we will try to book this place again.

Unfortunately the chairs in the living room had fresh chocolate stains on them and didn’t feel clean to us. Also there were a few chips left under the sofa - our dog found those. We also had to clean some plates and cups. We didn’t mind too much, but i realise that for some this would have been a bigger problem. Water pressure in the shower is also quite low - but we have had this in a few holiday homes in the UK and i guess there is not a lot you can do about it.

Lifeboat Cottage is very well located within east walking distance to Walmer and to Deal high street. The cottage is small but well equipped for a weeks stay.

The bathroom shower head is in desperate need of an upgrade but that was the only minor thing.

We just loved our short break at Lighthouse Cottage. We felt so spoilt, and never expected such a lovely welcome. Precious memories made with my 82 year old mum who loved the cottage too, a 5.38am sunrise walk and our wonderful time together. We went into Deal, saw the White Cliffs of Dover, the Bronze Age Ship, the Shell Tunnels in Margate, fish and chips, and a delicious meal at Dunkerleys, Deal. So much to do, but not forgetting, the wonderful pier. A joy x

perfectly formed for a couple or a family with young children (there’s a single room with a trundle bed as well as the double) - lots of attention to detail decor wise, yellow touches throughout the property. well situated, 10-15mins walk to the far end of Deal high street, and right by the beach path which you can take along to Walmer/kingsdown (which we would massively recommend). lots of pubs and brunch options in under 5mins walk away. A great place to call home for the time we were there.
