"Relaxing last minute 2 night stay with the added bonus of a hot tub."

The location is great. Just 15 minutes into York. The lodge was spacious, clean and immaculately kept. The hot tub was hot and ready to go the minute we got into the lodge. There is a restaurant on site which looked very nice, although we never used it. There was a KFC and large petrol station a 5-minute drive from the lodge. Not to mention the town of Pocklington with supermarkets and local amenities a few miles further on.

We booked last minute which meant the check-in desk was closed when we arrived. It took us around 20 minutes to gain access to the lodge as we needed to pay a security deposit before we could get access. This wasn't too much of an issue and we soon got the lock box code to get into the lodge.

Enjoyed being able to bring our dog

I did not like the deposit system, would have been better if we could have paid when we arrived and be reimbursed on our departure. The bar and restaurant do not take cash, card only. The quiet hours of 10pm to 7am seems to be ignored by some of the other people.

"An excellent family break in a luxurious cabin."

Clean, quiet, lovely hot tub, prestige accommodation. Everything we needed. Comfy beds, comfy sofas, large TV, shower was powerful and lovely fluffy towels.

No gate, no outside table, no parasol/canopy and no air conditioning. The cabin was very hot inside.
