we’ll just that should be some instructions somewhere for the heating. The check out time could be 12pm. Apart from that everything was fine.

"Lodge with hot tub stay"

Lodge is lovely and the hot tub was amazing. We called emergency contact number as heating was not on when we arrived and we couldn't work out how to do it. A man came very quickly and he was very helpful. He also showed me controls on hot tub. He asked if we needed anything else. The lodge had Christmas decorations (not too much) which was great as part of our visit was to visit York Christmas market. Towels, dishcloths, teatowels, washing up liquid for cleaning up afterwards is all available. The grounds and setting are beautiful. I would definitely stay here again. We wished our stay was for longer.

This is more suggestion rather than "didn't like". We really enjoyed our stay. People either side of us had music on very loud. This is more about inconsiderate guests than problem with site! It took a while for lodge to heat up and we had to keep coats on for a couple of hours. Maybe it could have been on before arrival. The bluetooth speakers connect to other lodges and whilst sitting with TV on, music came on very loud in our lodge. It took a while to locate a bluetooth switch behind the curtain in corner. I attempted a call to reception to ask about this but automated message said they will get back to me during opening hours which was in the morning. We did find switch eventually. A folder with instructions about heating, bluetooth, hot tub controls, T&C's etc... would be helpful to avoid any of these issues. If this is already available it needs to be more visible as we didn't see one.
