The rooms are comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and one can prepare a full meal with ingredients from nearby supermarket. The private onsen is really spacious and comfortable even though we visited in the middle of summer and not exactly the best time for soaking in hot onsen. Location of this premises is secluded enough and yet centrally located (walking distance) to all the attractions - very suitable for my 77 year old mother who prefers to "walk just enough" everyday (10,000 steps).

Insects (mosquitoes) can be seen and felt in and around the house, especially in the evening. This being summer in Japan, it's understandable. I'll recommend "basking" the entire premises, especially the entrances and sliding doors facing outside of the house, with insecticide (provided by villa) upon check-in, including the entire onsen area. Also, getting insect repellent patches obviously help for individuals who are susceptible to mosquito bites. Not much privacy even with the room doors closed as walls and doors are thin. Also, 2 rooms cannot be completely closed as they do not have their own air-con unit.

Great Onsen indoor and outside. . Comfortable raised but firm beds. Plenty of room and a full kitchen.

One bathroom but it worked out for us as it has two sinks and two toilet stalls with doors . We were two couples

Gensen is located very close to Yufuin floral village, walking street and lake Kirin. There are parking place for 3 cars. There are 3 big rooms which can accommodate upto 10-12 peoples. However there are only 2 toilets in the house.

It would be nice to have baht room inside the house. I also recommend to have washing and drying machine to facilitate guest.

Location, bath house, everything is perfect

Location is perfect, 3 minutes to main street and 6 minutes to the lake.

The property is big and spacious, very clean, easy access to shops and restaurants, surrounding areas are quite and peaceful. Has its own private onsen.

But it only has one shower which is outside and we have 6 people, it would be nice to have an indoor shower as well

Very close to walking street, supermarket and Floral village. Big house with inside and outside onsen.

Had to drive 10 mins to check in and get the key.
