Clean, bright and comfy- loved courtyard.

The downstairs was superb - great to have two working fireplaces, very comfy places to sit, a great kitchen and the beautiful glass addition/courtyard! Everything was functional, clean, and easy! The bathroom upstairs was also really good. The property owner was helpful when an issue arose and handled our stay with professionalism, grace and kindness.

There are only two things I didn’t like - the first was there was only one set of keys paired with the necessity to use two hands to lock/unlock the door each and every time (which was a pain when we had luggage, groceries, general nuisance to go through with each use/a bit painful to use the short metal handle on interior) The second was with the upstairs. While downstairs is virtually flawless and so lovely, the flooring upstairs in the hallway and in both bedrooms had loose, moving floorboards (scary…especially near the sort of flimsy upstairs railing above stairwell) with gaps between floor boards in main bedroom. We both got splinters twice over then moved the rug and walked very carefully to the bed and didn’t amble about in that space in the coming weeks.

The wood floor in the master's bedroom was quite old and makes loud squeak on every step.

The location was ideal

The house hadn't been heated prior to our arrival not acceptable given 0 temperature. Contacted yorkgo on arrival advised couldn't get WiFi code from app they had only sent the day before,it transpired this was how you access heating info. There was no hard copy instructions in the property which isn't acceptable. The owner increased the temperature remotely late Saturday afternoon. When the temperature forecast is 0 then yorkgo as the agent should ensure there is adequate heating. 2 party members have sore throats flu symptoms due to this experience.

A downstairs toilet would have been an added bonus but it wasn’t an issue
