Bereke Kolsay Resort

The location is convienient and the staff responded well. Its near to kolsai and kaindy lake jeep station.

I expected a fully equiped kitchen but unfortunately its not. And i felt a bit suffocationg since the bed is so jigh up in a cramped place but understandable i guess depending on the size of the dome.

The property is very nice and comfortable. Easy to find from the main road. Everything inside the property is good. For a small size property, it has everything a small kitchenette, a bathroom good enough for a short stay. The owner was very helpful and the breakfast was alright. Overall quite happy with the property and location.

Had to wait for a long time for the owner to turn up for the keys, the number provided on the booking.com doesn't work and nobody picks up. The locals in the area had to call the owners from their phones to get them. WiFi is a bit dodgy which is understandable with the location. Payment is only cash which is very difficult for people not living there, it needs to be clearly highlighted that the owners only can take cash (no cash machines within 100 kms).

To be fair, this "resort" (it's actually just 2 tiny homes located in the middle of a small village on an empty muddy piece of land) is in an area that is really trying hard to become a destination for which I applaud. However, the info on Booking is completely unrepresentative of what this place actually is. First off, it's fenced in and the manager, of which you have to WhatsApp to contact and they only speak Kazakh so you'd better have internet and Google Translate downloaded, has to unlock the gate to let you in. You are then locked in for the night, so if you want to get your car out, you have to be in touch with the manager which was completely unacceptable for us. You have to pay cash which isn't stated anywhere on the website and there isn't an ATM available in the village. Since we had no way to pay, we had to find another hotel for the night. The place we ended up staying for the night was significantly lower in price.

The view from the hotel is astonishing. We just stayed there for a few hours cause we have to go back to Almaty. It was a very comfortable, good location hotel if you want to go to Kolsay Lake

Very nice cosy place. Exactly like the pictures. A bit small but nice.

The place was a little difficult to find. The bathroom window seemed a bit weird. It felt like anyone could peek.

Wonderful stay

A clean and comfortable stay with everything you need to be self-contained. Cool and unique property!

Took a long time to check in as no one was at the resort when I arrived.
