The apartment provides everything you need. Friendly host, good location - a few steps from the center (lots of restaurants and pubs). To the beach about 1 km.

There was nothing bad about the property. We were over the moon with it.

If there is one thing I don't understand is why people give low score reviews when they don't need to! People will always find what to complain about even though they shouldn't! This place is more than what you need! The location is extremely central and yet very quiet. The studio flat is extremely spacious for the money you pay mainly in the low season. It can easily fit a family of 4. The check-in and check out service was extremely smooth and friendly. I could easily find free parking up the street 1 min walk away from the property. The property was extremely clean and you can find everything you need for your long stay. I couldn't find one thing to complain about for the money I've paid. All in all I would highly recommend it if you are a family, couple or solo traveler.

Please make sure you will bring with you shampoo and body soap as it's not provided by the property.

Location was super. As others have said close to everything yet in a quiet street. Apartment was roomy and clean. Having little extras included like washing up liquid, liquid soap, toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, t towels was really helpful. The host was quick to respond via WhatsApp and when I said the mattress hurt my back, we came to an arrangement whereby a duvet was delivered by the host, for us to place on top of the mattress as a makeshift topper. Also the large towels were really small for 'large towels' I'm only 5ft 8 and they barely came to my waist! The host delivered 2 decent sized towels later the same day. Very responsive!

Unfortunately the bed was too firm for me. Its an orthopaedic mattress, which isn't suitable as too hard, for me with multiple spinal disabilities. I asked the host if they had mattress toppers, which I feel would be good to offer for other people re comfort and support. They didn't have any mattress toppers so I suggested an alternative, which was a duvet which they delivered that same day. I feel it important to point out that the mattress was very firm to me. It may be okay for many other people, but my orthopaedic consultant has advised me that orthopaedic mattresses are often not suitable for people with spinal and hip problems. Therefore offering a topper would be a good idea to avoid anyone else having increased pain sleeping on the orthopaedic mattress. Whilst we were in Alvor it was very chilly especially at night. Therefore we didn't sit downstairs as the only heater (air con unit) is in the bedroom upstairs. I know this is unusual as the weather is usually mild, but something to consider. We were too cold downstairs in the evening. This probably didn't help with my back being on the mattress instead of using the sofa. The light in the lounge area is very bad, there is a small window, and one central light in the ceiling. The lampshade was black, or navy, and covered the light bulb a lot, so this made it so dark. I suggest changing the lampshade and adding a lamp as it would be more welcoming and not make you feel you were in a cave! Just a few suggestions for the future!
