Lovely place, very clean and cosy

The Arts and crafts Shepard's hut was in a beautiful quiet location. Close to York. Lovely and warm with a very comfortable bed. Everything we needed for our one night stay!

The cleanliness was a bit hit and miss. The general cleanliness was good, the bathroom was mostly clean just a long hair and toothpaste in the sink. Bedding had some stains on the pillowcases. The oven and fridge had not been cleaned out properly, crumbs in the oven and marks in the fridge. Just a few things missed. Also think the bed should have a mattress protector and pillow protectors on but that is a personal preference. Would of appreciated a number on the hut, none of the hits had numbers on so wasn't sure which one we were staying at.

Beautifully clean, warm and cozy shepherd's hut in idilic location, just a 25min drive into the centre of York. Plenty of parking Stunning view that I enjoyed while sitting in bed sipping my morning cup of tea. Soft comfortable bed with different pillow thickness. Clean white cotton linen,. Ensuite bathroom with great power in the shower, soft fluffy towels and toiletries if needed. As a lone female traveller I felt safe and secure. Staff I encountered were friendly Top marks and I'll definitely be booking again.

I'm light sensitive and the lamp from the opposite hut was reflecting on the ceiling, I put my scalf on the top of the curtains and the problem was sorted. Not a problem for me but there's no microwave, but you have a dishwasher,. You can't have everything in a small space.
