Milos By The Sea - Eco House

Host very nice, cute but small apartment, very clean. Host will wait to show you the way and will help with the luggage. Isolated location over the sea, nice sunsets. Good for disconnection. All kind of items provided by host for breakfast, beach towels, water... You have to take the car but there is a nice beach nearby, Plathiena.

Quite overpriced, and several are the reasons for this statement (as are things not explained in the description of the house but in the comments of the host, at the very end of the booking page...so in case you do not get to read them, are things to take into account). The location is nice but nor for all profiles, we liked it, but others need to be aware that you need to drive about 10 or 15 minutes in an off-road, and then there are steep stairs to get to the house (see pics) . No restaurants nearby in a walking distance, if you arrive in a Sunday no supermarkets opened, so you need to go out driving yes or yes. The bed, as seen in the pics is against the wall, so one of the partners needs to go over the other if needs to go to toilet overnight, and the bed is much higher than the standard ! ...a bit tricky :-) No air conditioned, but a fan, will be enough for the nights, but not enough during the day. Very hot inside the house. Old gas small kitchen (more practical an electric kitchen that can be used with solar panels....) Usually relaxed sea, but If the sea is hard or weather windy, you need to be careful when laid in the sun-beds, it is not a beach but a small concrete ledge (see pic) , as the apartment is a converted old fisherman's house were they used to keep their small boats. In general terms is usually relaxed and nice, but a sudden bigger wave drenched us when we were laid, and took away our sunglasses and some personal items, breaking even the 2 wine glasses.... Not a drama but uncomfortable. Some of the surrounding areas or houses are a bit dodgy/dirty or in works, not hosts fault, but devaluates the area. So all in all we liked the accommodation but not for what you pay, more than 340€/ night. Really overpriced.

nothing at all

The stay was amazing - a gorgeous, rustic fishing hut overlooking water. Quiet and peaceful, we had a lovely time staying here! The hosts went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay - they also helped with luggage and provided breakfast, coffee and wine! they were extremely helpful and personable (even posted my bikini back to me after I left it there)!

The drive to the hut isn’t for the faint hearted! windy roads and dirt tracks but gets easier over time.

The location was fantastic, the views from the bed, dining and verandah were spectacular. The amenities provided by the hosts were delicious. The character and layout was beautiful and charming. All in all was a very, very special place to stay and cannot recommend this place highly enough. Was off the main track and isolated so you will need a car, however that added to the overall charm. Maria and Georgio were excellent hosts.

Leaving was a difficult task as we wished we had stayed longer.

it was an amazing stay, hosts were super helpful. The place was super clean and tidy and smelled very good. Maria and her husband met us and showed us the way to the house, helped us with the bags. The house is right on the sea, we felt very good staying there.

The location was wonderful! The sea was 20 feet from our window and the waves were crashing against our patio. So relaxing and romantic. The host met us and led us to the beach house the first time. We were late getting there and they were so sweet and patient and had stocked anything you could need. They thought of everything from sandwiches, snacks, fruits, espresso and even wine and beer! I don’t know how they can make money with all that they provide, but it is by far the BEST place we’ve stayed. Very clean and comfortable bed with extra pillows and covers.

The worst thing is also the best thing. It’s a little scary at first getting to the house especially if it’s after dark but Wow! It’s worth any drive for the view and relaxing place.

This was the best place by far that we stayed in Milos. The host was great giving us recommendation and helping us get there with the luggage as well as helping us when going back. The house is beautiful on top of the sea (literally). It also has been taken care of and you have all the details that you need (drinks, snacks, fins to swim). Everything was above all expectations.
