"A wonderful relaxing cottage"

10.0

What a wonderful relaxing cottage, quiet, with great peek-a-boo views of the bay, a fantastic pub/restaurant nearby (The Old Inn) , and the best hosts that you could ask for. Jules guided us in when we could not find the entrance, gave us the rundown on the cottage, and then provided us with tips about restaurants, etc. Michelle and my wife connected immediately over their mutual love of horses. Our view out the front windows included the horses in the pasture and the bay. Yes, our hosts home was right next door, but you never saw or heard them, except when they went up to take the horses to their stalls at night, or to the pasture in the morning. The kitchen was a small well-equipped efficiency type unit. The bedrooms and beds were comfortable. The drive up to the Croft was on a narrow lane. The best way to park was to pull up in front of the Croft, and then back into the well-marked private gravel parking spot.

There were no groceries available nearby. The midges attacked me outside at dawn and dusk, but my better-half had nary a bite, and she went out to the bay and nearby trail. Go figure.

"Lovely cottage in a peaceful setting"

10.0

What a lovely place, the pictures don't do it justice at all! Such a peaceful setting and cozy cottage, we had the most relaxing time here while visiting the Glencoe area.

The blinds on the window are not dark enough, specially considering how early the sun rises in Scotland now.

"Good place to explore fascinating area."

8.0

Nearby access to the old train-track/cycle path with magic views of the estuary and of Stalker Castle; the bike hire next door; the Old Inn incl. the helpful advice of our host to book in advance; Appin and the Pier hotel.

We should have used map coordinates for the destination in the satnav; the postcode we used was not precise enough; entrance to the cottage (up a lane between two stone pillars) was a bit tricky to find when arriving in the dark.

We loved everything about our stay! The host was very kind and helpful and the croft was incredible. Easily accessible, in a stunning location and minutes away from an enchanting walking path and marvellous Inn. We'll most definitely be back and can't recommend it highly enough.

Excellent location with loads of outdoor walks on your doorstep. Easy, quick access to mountains in Glencoe. Really peaceful spot!

Very little not to like! Some of the croft was a little dated inside but in a way that gave it a more traditional Scottish charm!

"A lovely clean well-equipped cosy cottage in a quiet location."

10.0

A beautiful wee cottage in a lovely quiet location, only a stone's throw from Appin. There was an allocated parking space, which was great. The cottage was lovely and cosy and very clean. It had all the facilities that you could want. The double bed was very comfy and there is a bath with shower option, which was great after a long day walking. The kitchen was well equipped with both a cooker and a microwave. The location is great. The main cycle track is a 5 min walk from the cottage, which was great when you wanted to leave the car and go walking. The host was lovely. I met him on departure, and had a nice chat before I left. I would certainly book again. All in all a great stay!

Nothing, everything was perfect.
