Thanks to Rieko for her kindness and for making our stay truly unforgettable. This place is a hidden gem in the countryside near Kyoto. If you’re looking to escape the crowds of the city and spend a few relaxing days surrounded by nature, this is the perfect spot. Just about 1.5 hours from Kyoto and close to beautiful temples, you can enjoy peaceful walks through rice fields and really take in the charm of rural Japan. We arrived a bit early, but Rieko was so helpful and immediately assisted us with our luggage. The house itself was spotless, comfortable, and very quiet—exactly what we needed. Within walking distance, you’ll also find authentic Japanese restaurants and a lovely farmers’ market with great local products. It was absolutely worth the price, and we only wish we had stayed longer!

L'endroit était magnifique et calme. La région dispose de plusieurs lieux et commerces qui valent le détour incluant des petits restaurants, sentiers de randonnées et temples juste à quelques minutes à pied de l'appartement. Les hôtes sont gentils et se montrent très disponibles au besoin. Nous avons eu des difficultés à l'arrivée en lien avec notre voiture de location et Thomas est venu nous aider sans hésitation. Merci pour le beau séjour. Nous espérons y retourner pour une plus longue période dans le futur.
