Emerson House, dog friendly with log burner close to waters edge and harbour

We found everything very well presented and decorated throughout. It is a great location - 5 minutes walk to the town centre and 10/15 to Poole quayside with restaurants and bars. The property company are very responsive too. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Great location. 10 minute walk to harbour. Lovely & clean, nice decor. Well stocked. Dishwasher. Coffee machine. Recipe books. Magazines. Wine & milk on arrival (thank you). Parking for 2 cars, just about. We'd stay there again.

Bit of a camouflaged step, that we all fell up or down at some point. Just needs a grey stripe. Water was very hot, although we did notice that you can ask them to adjust it remotely. So maybe check shower temperature on arrival. Our friends didn't like the glass panel on their bedroom door. Also street lamp is directly outside, so eye masks a good idea as there are only shutters no black out blinds.

The staircase is steep

Excellent location and pet friendly. Good WiFi. Private car parking.

No tv in master bedroom. No dressing table with chair in master bedroom. No availability of extra bedding. No stand/rack to place clothes.

Lovely smell when you walked in, very nice living and dining room.

The angry neighbour who was waiting for us on our return from a few hours out, threatening us that he would call the RSPCA. It was too hot to take our dogs out so kept them safe indoors, both in crates to protect the property as one is a puppy. They normally settle after a few minutes so was shocked the angry neighbour said they’d been barking for hours which isn’t like them at all. He said if we left them in again he would call the RSPCA because he’s a dog lover, I was so upset that he’s insinuating I’m not, my dogs are my world and very well looked after. This was on the first night so the next day we took them with us all day but it was too hot in the afternoon so had to drive around to find something to do with the air conditioning on for them. If the neighbour had of handled it better and just let us know the next day rather than clearly watching out of his window and he hadn’t of been so aggressive with his hurtful threats it would’ve been a much different experience. We didn’t feel comfortable after this and really wanted to leave, we asked for a refund, half of the money would’ve been fine so we could find somewhere else but it was a clear NO! If anyone who has mobility issues with stairs this is probably not the place, the stairs are steep and I struggled to get up and down with my bad knees.

Given the wrong information from the property company about availability of parking. It was important to know there is only space for 2 medium sized cars in the rear garden parking bays overnight.
