Porto D'Ouro Apartment

The owner's communication regarding the description of the way to the apartment was excellent. In this regard, everything without problems.

Really extremely small shower and toilet. And watch out. The main highlight - the terrace, it is not private!!!!! You can't see it in the photos, but it is connected to another one and the access to the other one is from the street and is free!!! Just a small gate. We found out about it on St. John's Day when we came back from the city and what a surprise, 20 people moved into the next terrace (2 meters from our bedroom), barbecued, drank and smoked and celebrated until 04 a.m. With party music box at full power. And an unwanted surprise, there were men smoking a meter away from the kitchen, because the entrance to the terrace from the apartment is from the kitchen. All right, it's nice to have a reason to celebrate, but guests should know about it in advance and be able to choose. Which we didn't have. The owners should have told us that there is a possibility for other people to enter, that we can expect a party under our windows on the holiday, we would have appreciated that, but this did not happen. So we were a family awake all night with no option to choose this. So if you're looking for privacy, it's not here. It is not even quiet because, at least during this period, there are many musical productions on the banks of the river. And because the music is carried over the water and the apartment door has no soundproofing at all, really none, the noise is the same as if you were standing outside listening to the music from the shore. There is also a trumpet lover above you who can prelude scales for hours. So if you want peace and quiet, avoid this apartment.

Dehumidifier needed to be on regularly

Nice location, very good small apartment for people with dogs, nice patio with an amazing view over the Douro river, truly recommend

It truely is a secret place in Porto with magnificient view on Duoro river. It gives you the opportunity to feel the local Porto life and spirit. The terrace was also great. I hope to repeat it soon.

cool neighborhood not touristy

I felt chastised for asking a question. admittedly the person apologized, but I shouldn’t have been in that situation from simply asking a question. It is a bit smaller than I anticipated, but still pretty cool. driving there is challenging, but the owners directions are spot on. Use them!
