Haku Wakanayanagi Inn

All the rooms were nice. I liked the kitchen and shared space. There was a coffee pod machine as well as lots of other appliances and a good selection of plates etc.

there wasn't many tissues or any kitchen roll or tea towel in the kitchen. It took us a while to find where the cutlery was. The house could definitely do with a physical guidebook to explain where everything is and how to use all the facilities.

Great property to stay at in Kyoto. The house is composed of two floors. On the lower floor are the fully equipped kitchen (and I mean fully equipped), bathroom, toilet, a large living room (equipped with AC) and a tatami room. On the upper floor are three bedrooms (all equipped with AC): one double room, one twin room with walk-in closet and one tatami room. The house is in a quiet and safe neighbourhood, walking distance to two train lines (Nara line and Keihan line). Nara line is direct connection to Kyoto station(2 stops) and Keihan line is directly connected to many of Kyoto's sightseeing points. Fushimi Inari Taisha is 10 mins walking distance from the property. There's a 24h open Family Mart right around the corner. The host was also very nice and responsive. I could reach him by phone at 10pm, when needed. I'd definitely recommend this property and I'd most certainly stay here again if I visit Kyoto in the future.

Not a big deal but having all water sources (kitchen, bath, toilet) in the lower floor might be a challenge during the night. Not much the property can do about it though. Also the stairs are quite steep. It's a consideration if you have limited mobility, very heavy luggage or a toddler who wants to climb the stairs up and down all day long. Otherwise, everything was great!

Clean, big, lots of extra stuff like Go set, proper bathtub, working washing machine, tea set, big TV, lots of spacious rooms and nice beds.

No iron :(
