Villa Amalfi

Well located, shop and bus stop within easy reach, with stunning view

Not greatly furnished for self catering but ok. Could improve kitchenware

Sehr schöner unvergesslicher Ausblick auf das Meer und die Amalfiküste. Kurzer Weg zum Minimarket und zur Bushaltestelle. Netter Empfang und kurze Einweisung in die Unterkunft.

Die Betten waren eine Zumutung. Das Sofabett hart wir ein Brett und quietschend bei jeder Bewegung, das Doppelbett sehr harte unbequeme Matratze. Geschirr, Besteck und Schränke dreckig. Toilettenpapier unzureichend. Bei Ankunft wurden wir gebeten es im Minimarkt nachzukaufen. Die Entfernung zum Strand ist falsch angegeben. Der Weg war weit und letztlich führten nach ca 1,2 km Fußweg ca 500 Stufen zum Meer hinunter. Die Parkkosten waren deutlich höher als bei Booking angegeben (sei nicht aktualisiert worden).

Loved the size of the space, just was very helpful when we needed help. Close by bus stops so easy to get to Amalfi.

Water pressure of the shower and how the water does not keep to one temperature

Great location as bus stop to Amalfi is very close by and you have a terrace with a breathtaking sea view. There is also a local supermarket 1 minute from the Villa to get bus tickets which is super helpful to get around.

Cleanliness of the Villa left much to be desired as I found pubic hair on the stairs. WiFi is horrible and doesn’t work at all, no service either. Showers are also terrible and kept switching suddenly between burning hot and ice cold. The toilet also kept having malfunctions with the flush - very old valve system. Tourist tax also increased to 3€ a night which they never told us about until the day before. Very cheeky and I’d appreciate it if they regularly updated their site especially for important details such as this. The Villa is also located right next to a church where the bells ring every hour starting from 6:55am.

House was good with all facilities

Location was poor. Everytime we had to go or come from amalfi we had to.walk/climb a lot. Little bit warm water was hard to come but ok.owner charged more @3 euro.per person but in booking.com we were told 1.5 euro per person per night.

Very nice view from the outside deck

Description was missing key information for travelers, especially older or not so strong people: 1. There are approximately four stories (15 to 20 meters height) of outside stairs down to the apartment from the road to carry luggage to the unit. 2. One has to double park on a narrow winding road to unload luggage at the top of the stairs. 3. The cost and location of "parking" was not disclosed. It was about 500 meters downhill to a parking garage that cost 25 euros per night with cars parked one behind the other. At times one has to back out into traffic on the narrow road (a scary task). 4. The unit was a two room unit which was modified to add a loft in the front room to create the second "bedroom." Access to the loft is by narrow, steep stairs so moving luggage upstairs was difficult. On the ground floor, the bathroom has no exhaust fan or window and is located right next to the kitchen. Odors from the bathroom went to where one eats. 5. Trash was to be segregated into 5 types and carried up the many outside stairs and then 300 meters down the road. There were only two trash bins under the sink and no additional bags could be found for segregation. 6. We could not figure out how to use the coffee maker (could not get the water hot). Provide coffee maker instructions in the useful informational book in the unit. 7. Unit is on a cliff about 500 meters above the water so only beaches require driving into Amalfi. Parking in Amalfi is limited and expensive (6 to 8 euros per hour)

The views from the terrace were OUTSTANDING!! Totally worth it.. complete apartment with a kitchen and a huge terrace with sunbeds and a dining area. Had the best view of the sea from the cliff. Apartment was clean. Location was good. A bit high from Amalfi town, but there is a bus stop right outside the apartment.

The bed was not very comfortable. And the second room on the upper deck did not have a door. It was like go up the staircase and there was a bed right there in the available space. So no privacy for the ones who sleep in the upper room. The parking space for the car that we paid extra for was a bit far from the apartment.
