Casa Berna

Staying here was a really novel experience for us, the property is very unusual and good fun. The outdoor space was much bigger than I had expected and was wonderful. Always a different place to sit and enjoy the spectacular views. Amazing having a parking space in Masca too!

The separate buildings are quirky and absolutely fine when the weather is good but on our last day we had very bad weather which made it feel a little more like camping!

Staying in the middle of the mountains was absolutely gorgeous. The apartment is divided in separate blocks of kitchen, bedroom, bathroom with a lovely outdoor area where you can sit underneath the tangarine tree. The host also thought of everything for cooking (oil, salt, pepper, coffee), but also sunscreen, bandaids, you name it. Highly appreciated :)

The road through the town down to the apartment was tricky, and although the host warned us about it - it was not our favorite part. The bathroom did not smell nice.

- The location was spectacular. - Great, responsive and very generous host, who left some provisions for us :) Thank you! - Very clean, looking like new, facilities & buildings

- Slat type door curtain/fly blind was making so much noise it kept us awake. - None of the buildings had windows. - Driving to/from the parking lot at the property wasn't fun, especially when another vehicle was going the opposite direction. - Everything was in a separate building and had a separate key - kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms. Not ideal if you need to go to the loo at night! Adding even small windows, getting rid of this type of door curtains and changing them to doors with nets, having one key to everything (rather than having to carry 6 keys!) would make this place much better!

Uncomfortable beds, unreliable water pressure and a strong smell in the bathroom (because the drain is missing a P-trap).

A beautiful place for people looking for a quiet place and rest. Close to the Masca valley , bus stop and restaurant. Beautiful views of the mountains. Good contact with the host. I recommend 🙂

Wonderful views. I liked especially the terrace. Everything was perfectly ready for us.
