The owner was very helpful. He did not speak English, but it caused no issues at all and added local charm! He recommended to visit nice spots, warned us for heavy wind, left us some snacks and wine... Amazing guy! Nice remote location in the mountains. The house is located in an old cave and feels very authentic. Kids voted it to be the best spot out of 4 places we stayed. The main bed was very warm and comfortable, kids bed was ok. Ventilation was adequate.

(for the context - we are from Sweden. Cold weather for us is just fine, but we are used to have 20-22C indoors). The place was cold. +16 when we arrived, it topped to +17 during our stay, floors were colder than that. Heating is controlled by a timer and works only from 20:00. And the heat pump does not blow warm air anyways... I do not recommend visiting this place during the winter months. During the warm time of the year it has my recommendation!

We had a lovely stay at Casa Roque and highly recommend this place to anyone who likes peace and nature. The host, Mr Roque was kind and very helpful. Great views of the ocean and you are surrounded by hills. Plenty of hiking routes nearby. The house was very clean and well equipped. Many welcome extras like cold bottle of wine, coffee, snacks and even a pack of sliced ham for breakfast after late arrival. The road to the property could be quite challenging but we enjoyed it as you get great views from it too. Thank you for such a great time!

A fantastic hideaway in the mountains. Perfectly located just a short drive away from the best walking on the island. Casa Roque is situated at the end of a tarmac road and is easy to get to. We loved the accommodation built into the hillside, very comfortable and quiet.

The owner was very helpful. After arriving to the island we couldn't find a place for small shopping (it was Sunday, everything was closed). He helped us solve it. The house was spotless, everything what we needed was there. Overall we had a great time.

The location of the house isn't perfect. It's ok if you don't mind travelling for 40 minutes to reach the beach. For us it wasn't a problem.

The host is very nice and friendly. He messaged us in advance the exact location and waited to welcome us, though we were delayed by two hours then actually planned. The location is amazing. True privacy. Since we were visiting in December, we unfortunately couldn't enjoy the rooftop pool. From welcome wine (bottle) to fruits and breads to take care of our hunger, it was perfect. If possible, I would definitely try to book this place again if ever I travel here again.

Almost nothing. I won't say I didn't like it but a few things that might be uncomfortable. If we don't have our own transportation, then this place might not be best. And the road to here is, I would say exciting instead of challenging. The roof light is too bright, and I am not sure if there is a way to turn it off. If turned off, we could enjoy the night sky better.
