Sunrise View House

What can I say, Sunrise apartment is just the perfect accommodation to stay in when visiting the beautiful island of Poros. Great location with beautiful views from the spacious balcony. Katrina has to be the best host we have ever had, met us off the ferry, left us a full fridge of goodies as well as a cupboard full of coffee, tea and extra provisions. She went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible, even coming over twice during our 11 night stay to clean the apartment, change sheets and towels! Katrina is just fabulous! We can thoroughly recommend this accommodation

Ekaterina was the most welcoming host .She met us at the ferry port and showed us to the apartment and explained how everything worked and it was very well equipped. The apartment was spotlessly clean . Lovely extra touches with fruit , wine, fresh eggs and bread . Knowledgeable about the area and very informative Views were amazing Sunrise and Sunset !!

Having to leave !!

The location was amazing, being near the summit of a steep cliff and situated so that it provided fantastic views of Poros from the large outside terrace. The accomodation was actually larger than we expected, with a very spacious open plan kitchen/living area.The main bedroom and bathroom were also both spacious and the second bedroom was decent. Lots of cupboard space. The host, Katerina, is a lovely person who went out of her way to be helpful. She greeted us off the ferry, then met us at the property to show us around and explain how everything worked. There were quite a few useful food and condiment items in the kitchen cupboards and wine in the fridge. After showing us the ropes, she then offered to bring us fresh bread and eggs in the morning! A super host who went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable.

This is not a negative but bear in mind that as one of the advantages this property is that it is at the top of a hill, thus providing great views of the harbour area. The disadvantage is that the narrow roads, footpaths and steps leading to the property are very steep, so could pose a problem if you are getting on a bit (which we are) and do not hire a car (which we did not) or have mobility problems. Fortunately we are still reasonably mobile so the walk up to the property was ok if we took our time. We did hire a scooter for a short period which of course alleviated the issue and is so much easier to park than a car.

The apartment was well located, facing north towards the main part of the island, in the town of Poros (an easy walk down to port, shops etc, inevitably a little harder going back up). The views were stunning and sunrise over the sea was amazing from the lovely terrace. The host, Katerina, had provided everything you could possibly want in the flat down to the smallest detail, and was so warmly welcoming and helpful. She delivered daily fresh bread if you wanted it, and was available to help in any way she could. She met us at the port and took us to Sunrise View to show us around, providing a fridge-full and fruit bowl of goodies for breakfast the next day, including a bottle of wine for the evening. What more could anyone want....

Almost nothing. Later in the season ie mid October, there's not so much sun on the terrace. But the apartment is warm and there's sun in the morning.

I can't recommend Sunrise enough... the views are exquisite...the accommodation is light, airy and spacious and Katerina was a gold star host...she was both attentive (not pushy) and generous supplying us with fresh eggs, coffee bread and milk etc... nothing seemed too much for her ...including being extremely understanding when we broke a coffee jug. If I ever return to Poros there is no other place I would rather stay... it really is special.
