I really enjoyed my stay here! The location is super convenient — it’s very close to the station, which made traveling so easy. The house itself feels so cozy, just like staying at my own home. The peaceful view of the river from the balcony adds a special touch of calmness. ✨

when we arrived, the cherry blossoms had already fallen. It must be even more beautiful during the full bloom season, as you can see the river lined with sakura right from the house. Still, I would definitely love to come back. It’s a perfect place for anyone looking for a comfortable and homely stay in a quiet area.

Great location tucked away in a quiet neighbourhood, yet close to a few shops, restaurants, etc and only a few minutes walk from Tofukuji station. Beds were comfy and the shower was great.

It all looks a little tired and could have been a bit cleaner. It was quite cold but we couldn't find the remote for the air conditioning unit to heat the downstairs. The photos are also quite deceptive - the house is smaller than it appears, the double bed is in the room shown as the low level dining area (rather than a separate room as is inferred), and my children were disappointed that the kimonos shown decorating the walls in the bedroom were not actually there in reality.

Location was great just a couple of minutes walk from the station.

Very cold it took a couple of days to warm up. There was a rodent issue, if you slept in the second bedroom (no way it’s a living room) you could hear them run across the ceiling very loudly. Not overly clean.

Amazing location. Just 5 minutes from Tofukuji Station, yet tucked away by a peaceful river. The house is clean, cozy, well-equipped, and perfect for a small family or a group of friends. Super fast WiFi, which was great for trip planning. Easy access to tourist spots like Fushimi Inari and Kiyomizu-dera. Highly recommended, would definitely stay here again!

New renovated bathroom, good location just a few mins walk to tokufuji station which is on the Kyoto, Nara and uji line

Very old. Made of wood, too cold in the winter. Too much dust, got sick with hayfever. Sheets, pillows had dust on them. Futon mattress dirty with stains. Area where you put your shoes in had webs and was smelly.

A lovely hidden gem with in Kyoto, such a convenient location across from a beautiful river. The location is incredibly close (5 min walk) to Tofukuji town center where multiple restaurants, convenient stores and 2 stations (Keihan and Nara line) can be found. Tofukuji is also very close to many of Kyotos temple, shrine and landmarks. Happen to meet the host on check in day, she a wonderful person and quickly make sure we were settled in, she also is very responsive when we had questions that needed answer via the chat. All basic amenities are provided on site such as a washing machine, perfect for long-term stayers

The property a bit dated, the stair up to the top floor and incredibly steep, but other than that no other complaint
