Casinha Canal - Beautifully restored Moroccan inspired townhouse in Lagos historic centre

Квартира, точнее небольшой дом был очень уютным и милым. Нам хотелось после долгих прогулок туда возвращаться. И мы могли действительно там отдохнуть. Все необходимое для проживания и приготовления еды было в наличие. От вокзала пешком 20 минут, и до ближайшего городского пляжа примерно тоже 20 минут. Можно добраться и до других пляжей, которых достаточно вокруг. Рядом есть небольшой аутентичный продуктовый магазин и булочная. Вокруг много ресторанов и кафе. Есть также терраса, где тоже можно отдохнуть. Шум отдыхающих туристов вечерами и таких громких соседей, как чайки - это не минус этого жилья, а всего лишь местный колорит курортного Лагоша. Нам все понравилось!

i really loved the place. very nice decor. nice kitchen implements. clean modern cooking area. great terrace. easy checkin and checkout. location was hard to beat. website had useful information--never seen one as good as this one. the place is highly recommendable.

there were a few ants in the kitchen. the shower area was not very modernly renovated. a few things lying around the house and terrace. But none of that was really a negative for me. It was a great experience. Thank you.

Die Lage war toll - und Lagos ist richtig hübsch!

Es war Januar, keine gute Reisezeit vielleicht...klamm und kalt im Haus - und wir haben mit dem Taxi für minimum 100€ Holz geholt im Markt - für den Miniofen, der zudem sehr sehr schlecht gebrannt hat

We loved our stay in this tiny house. It's just in the center but side from the busy night life so it's quiet. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, beach towels, beach umbrella.....A nice treat from the hosts when you arrive (wine, fruit, chocolate....).

One little thing. Modern air conditioning would be a good investment. Even though there is a nice breeze in the evening and you can leave windows open. I recommend bringing ear plugs since seagulls can be quite loud.

The location was exceptional! The street for the time of the year is quiet. There were 2 fans which were much needed. The terrace is nice.

We have been travelling in Portugal for a month and were spoiled with the warmth and hospitality of our other hosts who made sure the house had toiletries, care baskets (beer, wine, cheese, fruit, bread etc) and were there to greet and ensure comfort. Here, the instructions were sent summarily via website, key while easy to collect from the coded lockbox, jams in the front door and there is a trick to getting it out which no one mentioned so we had to try several times to figure out how to get in. The door sticks and does not open unless lifted because the bottom of the door scrapes against the brick floor and doesn't have enough gap so it took us a good 10 minutes to finally get in. And this is after a long drive from Porto so we were tired! Once inside, the place smelled so bad and musty, as had not been aired, and it took us all day and night to make it liveable by opening the windows and leaving the fans on. The home has been furnished with no thought to flow and functionality. Oversized furniture for the home which is uncomfortable as well. Inside is dim. It's perfect as a hostel in it's current state but not exactly comfortable which we had come to expect. The kitchen is small and underequipped and feels dirty and cluttered. Lack of microwave is a BIG negative so is lack of a regular coffee machine. There is no room for a dining table but there is a folded one which one could open but again would increase that clutter. Under the stairs is a lot of unusable clutter. The place has potential if someone furnished it properly with functionality and design in mind. The property says 2 bathrooms which is incorrect. It's basically a toilet upstairs and shower downstairs. Since the shower is downstairs, nobody would take their bags up and carry clothes down every time, but there is a little rod with hangars to hang clothes in the bedroom up the stairs! Upstairs was nicer and we would have stayed there but then it was running up and down for everything.
