Ferntree Cottage

The host was so friendly and helpful. The property is so well laid out and cosy. We loved the location too, just minutes from the Wharf and the local shops. It was perfect for our needs and I would highly recommend to anyone wishing to stay in the area.

The location is excellent, very close to supermarket and restaurants. The cottage was a a great old style character house, comfortable, warm and a very pleasant place to stay. Will definitely look to stay again when in Māpua. 10 out of 10.

Such a cute property and handy location!

Location. Walking distance to bars , resteraunt,Foursquare,chemist,garage and water.

The character of the property both inside (with the furnishings) and outside was really quite cute. The property was well equipped and properly had the best shower we have experienced in New Zealand. We loved the quiet location and found it a bonus having a grocery store in easy walking distance.

There’s nothing not to like about Ferntree Cottage. It’s such a cute cottage and the interior doesn’t disappoint. All the furniture & furnishings are in keeping with the age of the cottage. The home is meticulously maintained & very well equipped. One thing that impressed us, was that it was only a 5 minute walk down to the Mapua wharf for a meal, coffee, fish n chips or a beer or wine. Deb is a great host & most friendly. Thank you.

The cottage is beautifully set up, with everything you need for a short or extended stay. The host Debbie came to say hi and introduced herself and we had quite a chat. I loved being welcomed into the cottage, loved the radio being on (classical music) to softly add to the ambience. There were plenty of throws/blankets to provide extra warmth if needed (we didn't). Loved Mapua, it was very central for our walks and this cottage is very close to local supermarket, pharmacy, pub, excellent bakery and library. I can't recommend this cottage highly enough.
