Primrose

Primrose is a beautiful clean little hut that although basic is equipped with everything you need for a weekend away.

The steps up into the hut don't have a hand rail, which made it difficult for my partner who is disabled and they became slippy when they were wet from the rain. The underfloor heating took all day to warm the hut, but this obviously wouldn't be an issue in the summer.

the location and facilities are just beautiful. it's serene, secluded and just wonderfully peaceful

I only booked for the hot tub, otherwise would have stayed in a hotel for half the price. After 4 hours of watching the wood the water was tepid and I had to go to bed! The hut rattled in the wind all night my partner didn’t deep a wink

Absolutely beautiful helpful hosts always able to contact bed so so comfortable lovely hot tub. Was a bottle of bubbly in the fridge… everything was absolutely perfect

The only thing was very very dark outside at night could have done with an outside light or lanterns would be a nice touch … especially when letting your pet out to have a wee apart from that can’t fault it everything was to high standard

The cutest little hut with everything you need for a little getaway. Hottub outside was a lovely bonus and each hut was sectioned off with their private area with no one looking over you, our two dogs loved roaming around outside jumping through the grass. Dave who met us on arrival was warm and welcoming and then left us to do our own devices with a contact number if their we’re any issues but there wasn’t! Beautiful surroundings and views of rolling fields and mountains, we’d love to return.

Gorgeous location, easy to find. We loved waking up to the sun over the fields in the morning. Hot tub was super relaxing, clean and made enjoying the views all the better. Really peaceful, minimal noise from other guests. Each hut is sectioned off by greenery. Josh always on hand to answer any questions and give advice. Rental e-bikes (we didn't have time) and new logs and firelighters for tub can be booked/ordered via a QR code on the tub. We were given enough wood and lighters to cover us for the 2 night stay on arrival, for free. Bed was very soft, which we discovered we don't like - but that's a matter of preference. Easy drive to local sites and attractions. Great for couples or solo travellers. Will visit again!

It was really lovely, so these are not major points. Would have liked a couple of hooks on the walls for coats etc, and hooks next to tub for towels. Maybe some guidance on the tub (via the QR code?) for ignorant city folk like us - but Josh was quick to answer any queries. Small/subtle light for outside near tub would have been helpful with the steps & lights inside hut are very bright so not the most relaxing in the evenings. None of these impacted our enjoyment of the site.
