Podere Piazza Siena

We had a fortnight here and can't fault anything. Wonderful views from the terrace, ample outside seating plus a couple of loungers,with comfortable cushions,and sun umbrellas. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of cutlery, crockery, a proper oven, dishwasher and a first for a rental home knives that actually cut.We had good weather and ate outside but there's a kitchen table and a large downstairs dining area..We had the main double bed,extremely comfortable, with a bathroom adjacent.A twin room was also on the same floor and there is a loft double up a spiral staircase which we didn't use.A lovely new shower and toilet are down one flight off the large dining/sitting area.with tv,stereo and open fire and comfortable seating. When it was very hot we opened the door onto the lower terrace and sat just inside in the shade to read.There's a washing machine, much needed in hot weather. All toiletries, kitchen washing liquid and laundry detergent were provided. Private, spacious parking is available. All windows have screens so we could leave them permanently open. We slept very well, apart from the odd barking dog somewhere down in the valley and when the traffic is heavy in the morning you can hear the rumble but that's modern life. The furnishings and decor are traditional in keeping with the historic building but done with style and flair.Being able to walk in to the city was fantastic;even for us, two not athletic early 70s ,it was perfectly manageable, about 20 minutes gently uphill to Porta Romana and another 10 or so to the Campo,but comfortably downhill on the return passing the small Conad, a decent baker,Clavicle,and nearer home a good pasticceria. Main shopping needed the car to the large Conad and Pennymarket about 10 minutes away. We were so pleased to meet the owners Sofia and Jurgen.with whom we had exchanged messages regarding the booking. Communication once here was easy and excellent by WhatsApp or by seeing them around.

The house was tastefully decorated and well appointed with cookware, dishes, and closets. We enjoyed multiple terraces from which we had a magnificent view of olive trees and rolling hills.

Prachtige locatie, ruim huis met alle comfort, veel ruimte, goed uitgeruste keuken met grote koelkast, groot fornuis met oven. Af te sluiten opslag voor fietsen, super vriendelijke en behulpzame host. Ruime parkeerplaats, veel plaatsen om buiten en binnen te zitten. Fijne badkamers, één met stortdouche, ander met bad.

Eenpersoonsbedden wat minder comfortabel. Veel trapjes in en om het huis, voor ons geen probleem, maar wel als je slecht ter been bent. Krappe ingang naar parkeerplaats.

Die fußläufige Lage nach Siena, tolle Terrasse, super Ausblick, sehr gut ausgestattete Küche u d alles mit Liebe fürs Detail eingerichtet. Einfaches Check in.

The view was amazing!! Our patio had beautiful flowers and landscaping. We spent lots of time on the patio for meals, playing cards and relaxing. The beds and pillows were so comfortable! Having two bathrooms was definitely convenient! The shower had great water pressure and was nice and large. The house had everything we needed. We loved it!

Das Haus liegt sehr schön mit Blick über die Toskana und fußläufig nach Siena. Im großen Garten gibt es schöne Sitzgelegenheiten. Das Haus mit toll gestalteten Bädern bietet allen Komfort, den wir als Familie brauchten. Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit, so dass wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben.

La posizione, vicinissima al centro ma contemporaneamente molto tranquilla e con vista magnifica sulle colline.
