Really great to have a beach at walking distance, and such a nice walk to get there.

We really loved our stay at Casinas, it felt like a second home. Nienke (the host and the owner) was super nice and responsive. The house is spacious and fully furnished (it even has a vacuum cleaner which we appreciated with a toddler crawling all around the floor). We also enjoyed the garden which is shared with other 3 houses but is smartly designed so that there’s a lot of privacy for everyone and you can choose if you want to interact with others in common areas or use your own private patio with seating. There’s couple of nice restaurants in the village and lovely beach within 20mins walk. We will be happy to come back again!

This is a hidden treasure. It felt like entering a secret garden as we opened the gate. Our cottage was a delightful, traditional-style building with a garden full of birdsong and lemon blossom scent.

Very comfortable accommodation for our three families of friends. The property has a great atmosphere. The host is very friendly and responds very quickly. The surrounding beaches are very nice for surfing (and possibly swimming in the summer).

Heating us the two bigger appartments was a little challenging in March (they have a wood burning stove in one of the rooms). This was not a problem with the smallest appartment, which has electric heating. And, of course, this would not be a problem in a warmer weather.

It is a beautiful setting. Nienke has done a terrific job of making each house lovely and cozy. Figueira is a really small town conveniently located to travel west. Easy reach and out of the touristy path.

The apartment is super cozy. The garden was amazing and the Nienke (host) was super nice!! Also there is a surf shop next door where you can rent surfboard and equipment super cheap. We spent a really nice holiday there.

Great place, cosy apartments with a beautiful secluded garden and with a beautiful beach a 20 min walk away. The host was very helpful!
