The Potting Shed

Location was very good, open plan living/kitchen was pleasant.

Building was very cold upon arrival, took 24 hours to warm up, never felt adequate. There were no cleaning materials, one dishwasher tablet only, no welcome pack, no essentials. TV screen was filthy, covered in handprints, etc. Oven and its trays were in a filthy condition, some of the glasses and other items had to be washed before they could be used, the dishwasher had been left dirty. Insufficient crockery, all were too large, a selection of smaller cups & bowls were needed, we had to use plastic ones that were intended for toddlers. Insufficient kitchen equipment, such as salad bowls, salad spinner, fruit bowl etc. Knives were placed in a drawer along with other kitchen items, very dangerous, easy to cut yourself whilst searching for the correct tool.

The property is furnished to a very high standard and was spotlessly clean.

Lovely clean barn conversion, comfortable and good views both back and front, with seating outside both back and front. We watched the sheep in the field as we ate breakfast at the table indoors, very pleasant way to start the day. We were aware when booking of the location near to the motorway and made easy access when travelling as we were attending a wedding in local village, and therefore knew we would be able to hear the traffic, but when the windows were shut it did block out the traffic noise. We would recommend as clean and comfortable and great having 2 bathrooms when getting ready for the Wedding and full length mirror in our bedroom. We would happily book again. In the bathrooms it would be useful to have a hook for towel beside shower and hook perhaps back of door for clothes especially the bathroom that is not ensuite. Also in shower a little shelf to put soap/shampoo on would be useful too. Thank you for giving us an enjoyable stay.

No mirror on wall above dressing table as there is a mirror under the lift up flap in dressing table instead, but I found if flap up for mirror then no surface for your items. Inside under flap is storage space, but not practical to use as surface for makeup etc. and for the cleaner would find difficult to clean inside opposed to wiping a table top surface.

The property was comfortable and homely. Very well presented and in immaculate condition.

Beautifully decorated and well stocked facilities. I have stayed in properties before where we have had to bring tea towels/anti bac spray etc. This place was brilliant as had things we needed stocked in the kitchen. Great welcome booklet with suggestions of places to eat/takeaways/things to do which was very useful

Food in the freezer left from the previous people? but we left it in the freezer as it was still in date. Didnt bother us as we had a short stay and so didnt need to store anything in the freezer

I loved my stay. I exceeded my expectations and I enjoyed the coffee, the property itself is very nice and clean with all you need to be comfortable and relaxed. I felt right at home and the scenery is so relaxing.

Maybe a keyless entry system but that's just cause I struggle a bit with it.

Multiple lighting options and stylish features / fixtures. Essence of Nordic cabin and a view of open fields.

Bed Mattresses didn’t quite match standards of the property and would advise upgrading.

Excellent facilities clean and well appointed everything you needed was there..

Pillows were a bit hard
