伝心庵 Garden Villa Denshin-An

beautiful traditional villa and garden. Every little detail has been taken care of. We truly loved this place. Hiro, the owner, and his daughter Emi are great hosts. They were so kind and helped us with finding a restaurant, taxi’s etc. Thanks so much Hiro and Ami!

We loved. There is nothing we did not like.

The garden , the house and decoration are esthetically Japanese and beautiful while other facilities are very modern and convenient. The staffs are fluent in English with excellent hospitality. The location may be a little difficult to access but it’s very quiet and serene! We just love the place.

A hidden secret place where you can truly appreciate the fine culture of Japan. The host was a genuinely great person to talk to and gave us an introduction of the house with detail. You can really appreciate the architectural aspects of the house while staying there together with beautifully managed garden that greets you with different scenery during day and night. Beds on the floor was extremely comfy Much recommended

The kind of place you do not want to tell others about, preserving it as your secret spot, a treasure in a beautiful unspoilt area of Kyoto, far from city noise. A house so beautiful and so perfect in every details you have to pinch yourself to really believe you have it all for yourself. Traditional yet modern, it combines the best of everything. And such a warm welcome, caring attention, from start to finish. This is a gem of a house, can’t wait to be back!

Nothing ! Just wish I could have stayed more than 2 nights to fully explore the area.

We love the garden so much and the owner booked our lunches and dinners for us which were delicious. He is so nice and friendly. We would definitely come again.

The futon beds are no so comfortable for the aged. Difficult to get up and down.

The property is absolutely stunning, you can be sure to be impressed - both by the building itself and the host’s great attention to details. We had a wonderful stay in Kyoto thanks to Nagase San and his traditional Japanese house.

The floor is some part of the property is quite cold, but we understand it’s difficult to something in such a building.

we spent an amazing time at Denshin-An ! such a great place to stay for our first visit at Kyoto!!! very clean and tidy . Staff are super friendly and helpful as well. 👍🏻 Will definitely come again in the future.
