Sofa very uncomfortable to low for me with arthritic knees and hips. Parking only two hours on street so had to use car park round corner which could be busy.

I found the place warm and cosy, perfectly located in the heart of the village. It was decorated to a high standard with lovely local touches, and had everything I could possibly need for a short stay. Even though it’s fairly compact, the clever design and large skylight windows made it feel bright and airy. The furniture and bedding were outstanding – my partner and I both agreed it was the best night’s sleep we’d had on a trip in a very long time. I was thoroughly impressed and would love to come back for a longer stay to explore the area more. The owner should be extremely proud of the property.

We had a fantastic break, and nothing took away from the overall experience. That said, I did note a few small things – some of the roller blinds had some dead flies caught between the layers when unfurled, which was a bit of an eyesore. Personally, I felt the front and rear doors could be a bit more robust, or perhaps a key could be provided for the storm doors. But I understand that’s likely down to my own preferences from living in a city, and the risk of anything happening in such a quaint town is probably minimal. My partner mentioned to me that other people were coming and going in the back yard – we weren’t sure if it was a shared space or not, but that said it didn’t cause any issues.
