Historical house, great kitchen facilities, close to walks, town has all needed to self cater, close enough to access historic train and canal rides

Friendly host. Property as described, a very homely feel, a lot of kitchen equipment available, Tea, coffee and milk available on arrival, along with condiments. Hairdryer and a lot of media stuff available. A nice walk up to a view point from property. Reasonable proximity with car to a number of touristy areas.

There are a number of quirky items / paintings around the house, which add character, but do make it feel very much like your in somebody else's house (which is kinda the idea of AirBnB), best to think of it as an experience stay. The TV and sofa in the living room don't lend themselves for relaxing, due to the hardness of sofa and the angle of TV. There is a big soft sofa in the basement but with having little ones we didn't want to use that one when they were asleep in bed. A little rejigging, or putting TV on an arm could make a big difference.

Nice location.

Front bedroom mattress was terrible. Extraction fan in bathroom electric shock hazard. Genearal decor requires updating. Sofa not very comfy.

Mike was very friendly and helpful. House was well equipped and had everything we needed. Great place for the price
