The Coral Cottage

Stunning cottage, beautifully decorated. The setting and views are fabulous. Perfect getaway, very peaceful location. We can't fault this place. It was immaculate, both inside and out. A very comfortable stay. We will 100% be returning again!

A very pretty modernised cottage with lots of tasteful touches

Unfortunately,despite the attention to decorative detail ,some very basic issues seem to have been overlooked: It took a text from us to locate the iron & ironing board which is located in the shed outside and the cover was too dirty to be used without an additional covering. The washing machine worked but an Out of order notice on the Dryer directed us to yet another shed housing laundry facilities shared between 3 cottages. The cooker/oven was great but the worn condition of frying pans made them impossible to use.There were no dishes of a suitable size for microwave use.

Very new and very modern. A lot to like here with this refurb. Large, bright spaces. Super clean and mostly very practical. We found the central heating slow to heat the house on our arrival day. It was 8 C outside though and the timed ? heating appeared to not yet have started. The bathroom radiator in particular could not ever be made toasty warm. A full kitchen, which we made good use of. With 9 weeks of travel on this trip, eating out too often was never going to be on our budget and we like simpler food tastes too. After long travel days, to not have to go out again for dining can be helpful. This stay is not close to eating out options either. There was a washing machine and drier available. Well worth 2+ nights here. Best to get all meal items back in Ennis eg at the Aldi there. Nice shower towels, though we found the bed mattress way too soft. A recommended stay overall.

The clothes drier kept turning itself off; and I did check the filters. No curtains in the sun / dining room was a bit off putting. At night time, the lit space is like a stage to the passing traffic and the front road is surprisingly busy. Some confusion re the check-in process with mixed messages coming from the host / property manager; who may use Whats App / another management company. Our in Oz mobile phone number (that they used) is not one we routinely access when overseas. We were mostly using a UK SIM card on this trip. It is simpler when all coms just come through messages on Booking.com. The host partly uses Fiddle and Bow; whatever they are. Some suitcase stands for us 70 year olds would make it a true 5 star stay. Two full sized towel rails in the bathroom would also be appreciated. The shower base leaked onto the floor near the vanity sink.

Everything in the cottage was superb, beautifully decorated and furnished.

We were attending a wedding in Doolin and for us the Cottage was a little way out so a taxi needed every day, as the celebrations went on over 3 days, but that would have been down to us to research more.

Perfect getaway, Beautiful cottage, the views are amazing, A short drive to Lehinch, Doolin, the Burren and Cliffs of Moher. Spotless and very comfortable

Absolutely spotless inside and out. Fantastic views and nothing but country life all around you. Amazing place to relax.

Our only problem with property was a little bit difficult to get to. Straight forward roads just very uphill of coming from the doolin side. The roads leading to ennistymon were much better to use.

We loved our 2 night stay at the Coral Cottage. It was well equipped for us to self cater and very comfortable . We slept so well in the quiet location after a long haul trip from Australia. It's well situated for exploring the Cliffs of Moher and surrounding villages.
