Gwyllt Cottages

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cottage set in the most peaceful surroundings, with stunning views overlooking Snowdonia. The grounds are immaculate and full of character, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the scenery. Dennis and Jane were truly lovely hosts, warm, welcoming, and always happy to chat. They made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. It was our wedding anniversary during the stay, and they went above and beyond by surprising us with a bottle of prosecco to help us celebrate, which was such a thoughtful touch and really made the occasion feel special. The cottage itself is cosy, spotless, and well looked after, with everything you need for a relaxing break. The peaceful atmosphere, combined with the beautiful views and the kindness of the hosts, made it a stay we’ll remember for a long time. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway in a stunning location with genuinely lovely hosts. We’re already looking forward to returning.

The only small thing to be aware of is that the cottage is quite tucked away, so there aren’t many amenities within walking distance. You do need to drive for shops, restaurants, or days out, but in a way that’s part of the charm, it really does feel like a peaceful escape from everything. There’s also no dishwasher in the cottage, which wasn’t a big issue for us, but worth mentioning for anyone who prefers that convenience. These are genuinely minor points and didn’t take anything away from our stay. We would absolutely book again without hesitation, as the overall experience, the setting, and the kindness of the hosts far outweigh these small practicalities.

Location was perfect, Hosts were friendly and welcoming, every detail thought of, recommendations for the local area offered, little basket of treats to set up any new arrival… local produce too! Surroundings were fantastic, clean throughout 10/10….we will definitely visit again, thank you,

We stayed over new year and hired out all 3 cottages. And we couldn’t have had a better stay. The cottage's are all beautiful decorated and maintained, with everything you need. The location is too die for, views are stunning. And the hosts are lovely people. What a wonderful 3 night stay and the perfect way to bring on the new year! Thank you

Prior to our arrival, we had a lovely welcome message outlining directions and a note about some welcome treats ie: Bread, Milk, butter and jam and some Welsh cakes, a really nice way to commence our stay. Our hosts were absolutely delightful and nothing was too much trouble, even providing places to visit, food stores etc. The location had wonderful views on a clear day of Snowdon Mountain and surrounding fields.

Fantastic quality of furnishings and amazing location and views of Snowdonia NP. Dennis also allowed us to charge our vehicles too, at a small additional charge We were a large family group of 12 and the three cottages accommodated us really comfortably. One of the best self catering cottages we’ve started in. Dennis. Jane & Sian could not do enough for us, recommendations, finding us a taxi to use and loan of a BBQ Thank you.
