Furnas Boutique House

There was a last minute accident with the place we booked, but they instantly solved it with another house wich was even bigger and higher category, and had pool game, so big up, and thanks!

It was a bit far compared to the one wich we originally booked, and i couldn’t find a cutting board wich seems like a recurring problem in Portugal.

L'appartement est bien situé dans Furnas, dans un quartier relativement calme . Beaux espaces avec une table extérieure ou il fait bon dîner le soir avec un beau petit jardin. Nous avons ete très bien accueillis par l'hôtesse.

Nous avons trouvé la location un peu chère compte tenu du fait que les revêtements n'étaient pas aussi neufs qu'ils semblaient l'être sur les photos ,qui devaient un peu dater.

La casa estava molt neta i ens van rebre amb un bonic lot de productes locals.

La casa no estava identificada amb un número a la façana i no hi havia aire condicionat.

Spaceous, good working wi-fi, 2 toilets, nice couch.

No A/C which caused quite the discomfort since the weather was sultry. Missing dishes for the provided hard soap. Also I didn't like the choosing of epoxy for flooring (not very home-like) and wooden panels on walls and ceiling - they are already starting to "rot" at the contact with the floor, also some mold here and there (bathroom window!). Especially since there was apparently a brake-in of water in one of the bedrooms and there are now black stains on the panels. The kitchen is also quite worn - ABS tapes on wooden surfaces are taping off, chipboard touching the floor is damaged by water, some drawers are hard to open. And we found a cockroach (we took it outside a few blocks away - we can't tell if it came in while we were in or if it was already there). The equipment should be also revised - e.g. the small table in the living room is not sturdy, TV is low-end (it does enable mirroring but no smart view), the dishwasher had electric current on metal surfaces (should probably be fixed by now), dining table is too small for a 3-bedroom apartment meant for 6 people), some doors of closets are a bit hard to open etc.

Grande maison calme avec un petit jardin sympathique. Accueil facile avec un panier garnis de produits de la région. Bien équipée avec une base de condiment et produit ménager à disposition. Literie confortable

Les finitions générales de la maison sont un peu décevante (moustiquaire, aération, position des prises électriques) mais rien qui n'empêche un très bon séjour en famille

Spacy house with a backyard safe for kids to use. Terra Nostra and Dona Beija are just 5min walk. Cozy feeling in the street.

For my youngest daughter the stairs were too inclined so we had to find a way to block them during the stay.

We had an excellent stay in Furnas. Mariana was beyond reachable and answered all my inquiries promptly. The house was spacious and had everything we needed. The welcome basket was lovely with local goods included. It is a unique house within walking distance to town (we had kids with us too). The backyard space was private and pretty. It was nice to have a washing machine.

Since it is so humid in Furnas there are spots in the house that show this. They did provide 2 dehumidifiers for this but you could tell they were necessary.
