"Brilliant. Northumberland is absolutely worth a visit."

Peaceful, gorgeous countryside, great hosts and a lovely property. We were interested in Hadrian’s wall, it was a perfect base. Northumberland has exceptional countryside. Riverside Cafe nearby was brilliant and plenty of places to eat provided you’re driving.

Only 2 of us in a 2 bed cottage, very clean, pretty, small but well appointed and comfortable - possibly a little cramped for 4 adults. Owner/Hosts friendly and helpful, and pretty garden. Not particularly pretty views from the rooms really but still nice. Kitchen well stocked with everything - open plan living room nice and comfy. Good shopping and restaurents/pubs nearby in Hexham and Corbridge.

Always like a superking bed - just lacked lovely views but some of the cottages probably have.

"Wonderful visit"

The hosts were wonderful, going out of their way to help us. The cottage was wonderfully clean, warm and well-appointed. Also well-placed, with lots of things to do a short drive away! The hosts provide a very detailed folder in the cottages with useful recommendations.

This was only an issue as we had a baby who needed to nap during the day, but it could be a little noisy because of the birds nesting in the walls/roof, creaky floorboards and slight noise from the neighbouring cottage.
