Liked the house layout and the close proximity of local shops

The weather

Would prefer queen beds.

Clean and modern house close to a couple of pubs.

Rear patio could do with tidying up, perhaps a privacy screen, weeding and new furniture. Front of house could do with weeding.

Great location, lovely property with all the essentials you need.

Nothing negative, apart from the fridge froze all our salads 🤷🏼‍♂️

The guest info book just needs updating with the correct wifi code. The router must have been changed at some point. Wifi worked fine

door code was incorrect. Luckily next door neighbour allowed me to use phone and it was out of hours too! But Hexham homes did phone back. I don't have phone connection unless have wifi and so couldn't use the phone ( live in Australia) until I am in. It caused alot of stress. Wifi password in visitors book doesn't work but the one behind modem does - after door code being incorrect was very frustrating. I have been inundated with emails about arrival etc on this property - most unnecessary and repetitive and unable to answer whilst on the move so to find the 2 key aspects didn't work was annoying. But once past all this the cottage was perfect.

The host was so lovely and very helpful nothing was too much trouble It was very clean and everything on site you would need Lovely cottage and the area was lovely overall

The cottage was so lovely but the Only thing was - as we had someone with us that was elderly she struggles to get up the stairs- as hard to explain but there was only half a stair rail to hold too - as the rest of the rail was part of the wall - so it made it difficult for her to manage - so we had to help her up and down every time also the step from the kitchen door was raised twice which was little hazard and need to think about it so not a big issue but from the step lending into the lounge the was a floor floor and then another step into the lounge so we forgot - so our mistake and fell off the step a couple of time. The village served no food at the local pubs so we had to eat before we came back to the cottage they only serve a basic Sunday lunch. Lovely coffee shop in the village a co-op and butcher.

Lovely location in the heart of the village with lots of amenities on our door step.
