Charming House

The late check in and the early check out is inconvenient. Other wise the house is perfect.

Lots of complimentary breakfast provision, plenty of fruit, fresh coffee, choice of teabags, milk and bottled water, much appreciated. Location, ideal, quiet, convenient to local cafes/restaurants in walking distance, and bus stop with provision of timetable into and around the coast/Amalfi town. Rosa and family were very accommodating and in contact, providing invaluable information. Many thanks Rosa.

Taxis are very expensive, it is advisable therefore to utilise the bus, hire a bike or car. Recommend at this accommodation to ensure parking permit available on arrival, which can on occasion be a little bit of a lottery finding a space in close proximity to the accommodation but this instance was not too bad.

The house is, as the title suggests, very charming. There are many home comforts within the house that other places do not provide. It is private and in a quiet village. There is an excellent restaurant nearby, Antico Borgo, and a pizzeria and bar that is sometimes open. About 15 minutes walk down the hill is a shop, near from which you can catch a bus to Amalfi which takes anywhere from 30-45 minutes to get to the town, or you can brave the 30 minute trip down the MANY stone steps. Our lovely host arranged a pick up for us from the port as it is difficult to get suitcases on the bus.

As above, it is a fair way from Amalfi, but if you are wanting a peaceful getaway with a stunning view, this is the place for you. Mosquitos around dusk but that is to be expected (and a citronella candle is provided!)
