Kounenos House

Das Haus und der gemütliche Garten mit Sitzmöbeln waren sehr ansprechend. Zum sehr schönen Strand sind es nur 160 m. Der Gastgeber Jiannis war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Bettwäsche und Handtücher wurden zweimal in der Woche gewechselt und es wurde dann auch geputzt, das haben wir so in einer Ferienwohnung noch nicht erlebt. Unser Kritikpunkt (siehe unten) wurde vom Gastgeber direkt notiert, er scheint interessiert daran zu sein, das zu verbessern.

Die Küche war nicht optimal ausgestattet: Der Herd funktionierte zwar, ist aber schon sehr alt und schwer zu bedienen. Es gab keinen Brotkorb, keine kleinen Schüsseln (für Pudding oder Salat) und keinen Pfannenwender.

L'emplacement et la vue mer et montagne. Ménage impeccable. serviettes et draps impeccables et fournis en nombre puis changé pendant le séjour. L'extérieur est splendide, la cour et jardin impeccables.

Aucun accueil à notre arrivée sur place ni aucune instruction en amont de notre arrivée. Aucune instruction sur place nous avons dû nous débrouiller tout seuls. Propriétaire injoignable car numéro de téléphone erroné sur Booking. Répondent par mail 1 ou 2 jours après. Système de mise en route de l'électricité et de la climatisation très complexe (système de capteurs aux fenêtres pour la clim et carte à insérer pour l'électricité) . Aucune notice explicative pour nous aider. Nous avons cherché pendant des heures avant de comprendre par nous-mêmes. Extérieur partagé avec la famille propriétaire avec impossibilité de garer le véhicule à l'emplacement dédié lorsqu'ils sont là. Rue étroite et très passante 2 voitures ne peuvent pas se croiser. Manque total d'équipement dans la cuisine pas de casserole pas d'ustensiles.... on est très inferieur au standard qui se fait sur l'ile de CRETE. logement dédié aux baroudeurs de passage mais pas pour les familles. Logement au premier étage avec escaliers et non autonome. Plage à proximité pas très propre (beaucoup de plastiques en flottaison et nombreux déchets).

As a clean person that like nice and clean thing, I was disappointed about bedroom, bed. Too much dust and I can really feel my nose was fill with dust and my mouth. What most irritating me was, that you can't pay through Booking , from the first day we were there people who owns the place was there downstairs house, they ask if we pay, and I said book through booking and automatically will pay. But the renter said no, we have to pay either euro or card, we didn't know that, after talk to them we say that we will pay and he will come tomorrow morning and one of us has to come to the place and pay, so we did. After we pay, people from downstairs gone rest of the days we were there. It wad uncomfortable with people watching over us till we pay. Very unprofessional and uncomfortable experience.

We loved this house and this place. Location on a very quiet street practically by the beach where we had great swims and snorkeling. Not so many people there. Also very close to fantastic Voulisma Beach with crystal clear blue waters. Few good tavernas and shops in a walking distance. The house is traditional and very well maintained, spotless clean with beautiful patio to sit and eat on in the shade. Kitchen equipped with all we needed, bathroom fresh and renovated, new AC. We had all place for ourselves. Eastern Crete is really great to explore and relax at the same time, much to see there and still not too crowded. We stated there for one week and were sad to leave. We will be back when we visit Crete again. Thank you Janis for you hospitality. Strongly recommending.

Mot much really. Bed in the smaller bedroom a bit hard.

Location next to the beach

Comfortable and clean apartment, on the first floor, which offers (almost) everything you need for a vacation😃. The lower floor is empty, (obviously) not rented out, so it's really quiet🤫. Nice shady terrace, with lots of greenery and flowers. The beautiful and well-kept beach is less than a minute walk away⛱️🌊🌞

The furniture is outdated, but of course, it serves the purpose (fairly small double beds🤷‍♂️). We didn't find any brooms🧹 (we could have asked otherwise - I know). Ice cream cups, cleaning agent and dishwashing sponge were missing upon arrival🍨😉🧽🫧🧴 - but there are quite a few shops in the walking distance, so we solved that easily. Considering the super affordable price (in my opinion), I highly recommend staying in this apartment!🔝👍👍
