Luxurious central Knysna home

The apartment was very spacious, fully equipped kitchen with a washing machine, beautiful decorations, a big balcony with a sea view and a barbecue. We enjoyed our time there very much :)

Beautiful home with multiple areas to relax and chill in, super comfy with everything you could need

After a night we checked out of the house and moved to another apartment. Although we had booked and paid for 4 nights, we decided to further have a laid-back vacation without being annoyed every day because of our accommodation. With the very best of intentions, we could not find the Luxurious central Knysna home described by the landlord on Booking.com. Rather, according to our experience, it is an older mid-terrace house, which is far from "luxurious" in terms of equipment, furniture, cleanliness and feel-good factor. The house itself though has enormous potential and a great layout - but the whole place badly needs a proper facelift and swapping of the worn out furniture. High-quality cutlery and kitchen equipment, instead of a scuffed mishmash, would certainly be appropriate too under a "luxurious" heading. We ticked off the experience as "lesson learned" - however, we are still puzzled by the many positive and partly euphoric reviews on booking.com.

Some of the drawers had broken hinges, no hairdryer, only one torch for load shedding.

No fans to keep cool

Absolutely stunning property with a stunning view. The lighting and design of the home is phenomenal, the garden space and patio is relaxing, and the bedrooms are luxurious. The en suite bathrooms were pristine, as was the comfort of the home in general. If I could stay here longer I would.

It’s really hard to say, as everything is truly magnificent about this property, but the only thing missing is perhaps fans or air conditioning. Overall the property is rather cool, but some nights it did get quite warm and a fan or AC would’ve been appreciated to fully enjoy the comfort of the bed.
