Bibi Ellipsis

I liked the small Cottage located on an open space estate where wild animals roamed freely. No dogs and not cats - wonderful.

The cottage is old and well taken care of. However, not as comfortable as expected for a long stay.

The cottage was extremely cute, homey and comfortable and the location was absolutely breathtaking.

I have no complaints.

Quiet area. Nice place for small kids. Safe for kids riding bicycles. Children loved the rabbits and bushbuck.

Problems with water. Water pressure very slow. At times water were on a trickle. Had to get up early everyday as from 9 the water would be very slow or non existent.

It had a homely and cosy feeling. The place itself was very beautiful and serene. Nico was the most excellent host.

Just the beds and the flow of the water. It was very slow flowing.

Very beautiful secured park with animals walking around. Our child was happy running after rabbits. Price was good in low season. Towels were provided after we asked for it.

There was lack of hospitality: 1 roll of toilet paper for 3 people for 3 nights, no salt, tea or coffee, no shower gel. And the closest shop to buy all of this is 10 km. away. Towels only on request (if we did not ask for them, we would not get them). In all other accomodations during our road trip from Cape Town to PA we always had all those items. We were not warned about electricity cuts and when this happened (every evening of our 3 nights stay) we found only 2 small candles that were over in 30 min. No wood were provided to be able to use barbeque when no electricity. So, our child got cornflakes for dinner instead of warm meal and we were only able to have dinner at 21.30. The house is full of antique furniture and old carpets, so there is very strong smell when you enter from outside. Then you get used to it. But still it created an allergy and headaches for my husband every night. House is dark and cold. There is no internet.

The tranquil feeling and setting, as well as being so close to nature, and the animals roaming around, all worked hard to relax us, and achieved that goal. The old trees just give that bush feeling, and calms the soul. The quaint cottage has everything you need, and is charming and homely. looking forward to my next stay.
