A great location. Convenient for the bustling sea front and nestled back slightly so you can explore winding cobbled streets. Very communicative host, Rui who couldn't do enough for us during our stay. Was always promptly on hand when we needed him. Nice welcome touches. Comfy beds. Nice bathrooms. Kitchen well-equipped.

We visited in March for a week, and the house smelled very damp throughout. Draws all smelled very foisty and towels never dried for the duration of our stay. Walls are showing signs of black mould that although has been painted over, is still very much visible in the living room and master bedroom. If you are visiting off season, do be aware that although the property provides small heaters, there is no aircon/heating downstairs so can get very cold. Lots of the decor is now very tired. For example, draws in bedrooms are IKEA and have fallen through at the bottom due to excessive weight. Some broken patio furniture on roof terrace. Missing cushions etc. Note that the photos/listing of this property are quite outdated. - The kitchen photos show a gas hob and a washing machine - this is now an electric hob and a dishwasher. - Listing says there is a BBQ, there isn't. - There is now a frame for a pergola on the roof terrace. which limits space for furniture. - The blinds in photos are thicker, material blinds that would be better at stopping light - the blinds are now bamboo and let in a lot of light. There are very bright street lights on both sides of the property. Lots of the photos are taken using '0.5 zoom' so it gives an ultra wide perspective making spaces look bigger than they are. It is a busy residential area so can be quite noisy. A great thing for Olhao is there are lots of renovations in the area, however this meant when we visited there was a lot of building work going on nearby which started early in the morning and continued throughout the day. We have stayed in the town many times in other properties and this has never been an issue. In all, this house could be something fantastic, but just needs a bit more investment to make it something great.

Great location for a local shop, cafes, bars and restaurants and communication with the host. 2 bathrooms was a bonus. Good sized bedrooms.

Windows were difficult to open and couldn’t open the back door so inside we couldn’t see outside easily.

I like the location, the house and the nice hospitality.

The noise during the night , the squeaky bed.
