"Good"

7.0

A great welcome with the heating already on which was much appreciated. Heron's View was spotlessly clean and it's got everything you need for a self-catering break. I love that they're supporting a local social enterprise for the toiletries which were amazing.

I booked this cottage specifically because it said that there was a secure garden, so it would be safe for my dog. The outside space for Heron's View is tiny and can't be described as 'secure'. The gate doesn't close properly, the slightest breeze opens it because it can't be properly secured. The height of the fencing could easily be jumped by 90% of dogs. This was supposed to be a working break but the WiFi was very poor and hampered that plan (potentially a good thing if you're actually on holiday though!). The bed is really, really uncomfortable. There are so many positives about Heron's View, but the things I was hoping for and needed, based on the information I had read, were the things that made this break really disappointing.

location was good for touring around N. Wales. The cottage was realy nice with a great terraced garden to the rear where i was able to play my bagpipes. and the lady who owns the cottage met with the key and she was really nice and helpful.

"Very nice place it would be perfect when the sun shines"

8.0

Location is really good. Nice and quiet but also not to far from ruthin itself. The outside facilities looked nice but it was to cold to use. Would like to visit in Sumner. The little extras ( fresh milk and welshcakes was a nice touch. Downstairs feel very traditional farm cottage but upstairs ( bedroom and bathroom) are very modern.

With the downstairs only being single glazed we found it rather cold but once the radiators and fire kicked in it soon became warm ( except kitchen which was always cold. The window in the bedroom must have a tiny gap in it which resulted in the wind whistling thru during the night ( this was rectified by opening the window slightly

"Lovely Christmas break in Ruthin"

9.0

Amazing location, great facilities, extremely well equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook a Christmas dinner, dishwasher, detergents, coffee, tea, Welsh cake and butter, and milk left for us in the fridge - thank you! The whole house was very clean, and we had a lovely log burner which we used on Christmas Day. The owners had a lovely decorated Christmas tree for us, with Christmas lights, which was such a nice touch. Really clean bathroom, with lovely toiletries provided. The view and scenery is just amazing and worth every penny. Only 20 min walk to the village/town Ruthin where you can visit a castle, lovely pubs and supermarkets, little unique shops. We will recommend this cottage to all our friends and family, and we will definitely come back again!

The bed / mattress was quite uncomfortable, it wasn’t a deal breaker as we stayed dinky 3 nights but it could do with replacing.

"Lovely stay with scenic views"

8.0

Wonderful scenery just at the doorstep, cosy house and space for dog to run around.

If only the shower pressure was more powerful so the water won't splash on the electric shower unit. Bed was not the most comfy one, but it is OK.
