Olde Post House, Rathmell - Settle

Olde Post House is a charming cottage and was fabulous for us as we were attending a wedding in Settle. A short drive away and in such a scenic location.

The shower was not very powerful and we had to waste a lot of water waiting for it to heat up and remain at a constant temperature which we didn’t like. Worse shower I’ve had for a long time unfortunately!

Place was exactly as described. Clean and comfortable. Would recommend and stay again. 😁 Communication with host spot on.👌

quiet, warm, generally very comfortable. Adequately equipped for comfort. Immediate response to a problem with the shower. Would recommend the accom to others.

no reply to a message about waste disposal as the bin was not where stated (minor point). Bed in smaller room far too big for the space hence couldn't reach the window and limited space to move around although the bed was very comfortable.

Beautiful setting , spotlessly clean and tidy ,great location for visiting the Dales .

Although a rural location in a hamlet, it was only a ten minute drive to Settle with a Booths supermarket, petrol outlet and a railway station on the line that goes over the Ribblehead Viaduct for railway buffs. The house was very clean, with a decent size lounge-dinner. Kitchen was bijou but well equipped, although a dish washer seemed a bit OTT when you only have four place settings. The bed was comfortable and a great size and the shower was excellent. With satellite TV and WiFi, you might be in “the middle of nowhere” but you certainly aren’t.

Kitchen chef knives need sharpening, and the bulb in the reading light on the mother and daughter standard didn’t work. How did we manage😀
