Property is with the exception of the pool. When I arrived the pool was green. It was cleaned after a couple of days and then it still had algae. I didn’t feel comfortable getting in the pool

After 2 weeks I had to ask for clean sheets I asked 3 times and had to sleep on my comforter as I had left my soil ones at host home to be laundered . I feel communication was the challenge resulting in misunderstanding.

I liked leaving...

The biggest problem was noise. There is a nightclub 6 feet away from the cabin which blasted music every night until 2am. Then the dogs would bark at 4am or 6am. Then the loud lady would be screaming at the dogs to shut up. This combination of dogs barking and lady screaming would go on all night and all morning. There were cows, roosters, motorcycles and airport runway noise as well. But the nightclub noise and the dogs barking was absolutely unacceptable for sleep. The listing was also very deceptive. The map showed the rental located near the town center near the main beach and restaurants, when in fact it was almost 2 miles away. Walking 8 miles a day was good exercise but again the map was very misleading. The photos of the house were misleading as well. The featured photo is of the main house where the old couple live not the guests. The small guest cabin is tucked in the back corner out of view. The photo implies you are renting the main house. The cabin was fine except for the 50 year old piece of crap TV, and the horrible flames painted on the bedroom wall, signifying the hell you will go thru, and the sleep you won’t get. The lady and 3 dogs sat on the patio all day watching your every move. There was zero privacy, and it was very much a shared living space situation. Every time you came out of the cabin the dogs would jump on you or hump your leg. The lady had no problem with the loose dogs and all the humping. The pool was dirty with bugs and sticks, and it appeared the filter and vacuum were not working. This place should be kicked off booking.com.

I really enjoyed my stay in Sosua at Monika's place! She was such a nice host and a lovely person in general, she was so helpful all of the time and making sure that everything was alright. The apartment is located in a calm and safe area and a nice quick walk if you want to get to the town center. The place itself is also really beautiful, you have a pool surrounded by a garden with palm trees and you have your own apartment next to Monika's. If I come back I would definitely stay again with her :))
