L'eco dei sassi

Comfortable, spacious and nicely-renovated apartment very close to the old town and Sassi. Charming hostess. Nice big shower. Comfy bed. Lots of choices of long-life breakfast food, as well as yoghurt, milk and some nice peaches, good coffee machine. Lots of eating options nearby.

Not staying for longer! It was perfect for our needs.

The apartment is perfectly located to visit the Sassi. It’s tidy and clean, with all amenities you can need (and even more than that!). The hosts are just excellent

Nothing, everything was perfect

Maria was a lovely host and saved us a car park in front of the accomodation. She also left us lovely fresh fruit and supplies in the apartment. We had a great stay.

The house was clean and beautiful, even better than in the pictures! The location was great- we could drive and park outside of the Sassi, but it was only a 4 minute walk to the Sassi. The owners were incredible, offering excellent hospitality and thinking of every small detail to make our stay enjoyable. They stayed up late to open the house for us and gave us great recommendations for our stay. I can’t wait to return and stay for longer!

Breakfast was as described. Pastry, fruit , cereal, milk, toast & butter, yogurt, cheese and ham. And most important, a great expresso machine

A cutting board would have been useful and a few more cooking pots if you are one to prepare more of your meals in the unit. Otherwise a wonderful stay exactly as presented.

inside the holidays home temperature was warm and nice . water pressure of the shower is powerful . Host is helpful and friendly. Everyday help us get a carpark .

Perfect location, just 4min from Sassi upper part. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, supermarket 5mins away if needed. Parking available in the streets around, parking is a challenge generally in Matera but yet we managed to park it few times just few meters from the apartment. Lovely host, very helpful. We travelled to Matera in March, as to avoid summer crowds and it was still warm and cozy inside despite the low temperatures outside that we had. The flat was spotlessly clean, had towels, breakfast amenities. I would definitely stay there again.

Location. The owners helped us park our car across from the apartment at no cost.

The bed was very low. My 82 yr old husband had problems getting off the bed. Maria solved the problem.
