Gostitelja sta bila izjemno gostoljubna in nas osebno prepeljala v stari del Matere in nazaj do parkirišča zunaj peš cone. Obenem sta nam podala številne koristne informacije. Omogočila sta nam tudi brezplačno parkiranje.

Lorenzo goes above and beyond! He picked us up from the bus stop, even though it’s only a 15-minute walk, and gave us a brief history and description of Matera while driving us to the house. He and his parents were incredibly kind and accommodating—we met them at checkout and they were wonderful. Even after we checked out, Lorenzo continued to answer our questions and help us with directions. The house is a unique, ancestral cave dwelling in a perfect location with a stunning view of Santa Maria de Idris right in front. It was a truly special experience, and I would definitely recommend it!

The internet wasn't working during our one-night stay. Also, there isn't a place to store luggage at the house after checkout, but Lorenzo was helpful and sent a link for a nearby bag drop service. There is a lively restaurant right next door that was active until at least 11 PM; it didn't bother us since we fell asleep, but it's worth noting for very light sleepers. Still, these were minor points compared to the great stay.

The location is exquisite! The host is super kind and welcoming. He picked us up and even got us a parking spot for free, so he really went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Our stay in their family cave was excellent, we had everything we needed, it was also very clean. The accommodation really portraits how the people of Matera lived in the past. It was an unforgettable experience, 10/10 would recommend! 🤩

The apartment is beautiful and it really makes you travel in time. It has a local vibe that makes the whole experience really unique. It is in a fantastic location, you are at walking distance of the main attractions. It is sparkly clean and you have everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The bed was amazing. Lorenzo and his father Mario were very kind, they picked us up and dropped us off at the parking that was reserved for us and helped us with our luggage. Lorenzo gave us great recommendations for places to eat and things to do. It was really a fantastic experience, highly recommend it.

We loved that this is a property that has been in their family for many generations as explained by our host - Lorenzo. It was such a warm, cozy and authentic cave home in the Sessi. Lorenzo picked up up from the car park and gave us a tour of the old city, with the historical perspective only a local could provide. The beds were comfortable, and the house had all the modern amenities one could ask for!
